Don't let the dppr kick you in the arse! Just what we need another head cases that dreams for the sounds of honking taxis at night good bye. We have given both Marcus Banks and Telfaire more playing time than anybody else in the league and look at how we have been rewarded! Would you rather have money and not play or have a little less money and more pt.

I'm sure he didn't "come out and say that" - the Wolves played the Knicks last night. He was asked a question. What is he supposed to say "No, I would never want to play for the Knicks."? What he was was relatively diplomatic and noncommittal.

Of course it was stupid, it's the nba. Most of the league would be a burden to our society, if they didn't have jobs shooting a basketball. the only smart timberwolves players i can come up with now or anytime in the past are--- christian laettner, mark madsen, fred hoiberg, yeah none of them could jump, but atleast they could read.

Is this sarcasm? If not then congrats on being the first candidate to ever go on my ignore list!

Bassy wasn't stupid. He said he would love to play for the team he grew up with. Why is that wrong? If I was about to be a FA and someone asked me if I'd like to play in Minnesota I'd be like "If the opportunity came up and the circumstances were right, absolutely."

Whoa, i just read what i typed, and it's coming across all wrong. No it wasn't meant to be sarcastic, and reading it now, it may look a little racist, which is not what i meant. i should never have said they couldn't jump--sorry.

Where do you see professionals making millions of dollars all tattooed everywhere? Burden to the society is a little strong.

I found this to be interesting. Knicks fans don't seem to want anything to do with Bassy.

I agree with Calinks3 in that he was being diplomatic on a question asked to him by NY media. I seem to recall there were a number of articles where Wally Szerbiak was quoted saying similar things about going home to play in NY.

I think part of it is just NY media continuing the idea that everyone wants to play for the Knicks and their fans believing it.

Wow, you sound racist dude. You seem to think that only the white players are smart. :wavefinger:

It's funny, if POB came out and said similar things about Minnesota and the Target Center, we'd all be going "Huzzah!" and such. Bassy was just honest. what he said wasn't offensive, stupid, or surprising.

Point guard Sebastian Telfair (sprained ankle) made it clear, in the wake of a story in the New York media suggesting otherwise, that he hopes to return to the Wolves next season. Telfair, who will be a restricted free agent, said: "[The Wolves] gave me an opportunity of a lifetime. This is where I want to be."

Who is POB?

And that blurb by Telfair should smash all this talk about him being an idiot and such. We can't take every blurb we hear from the media at face value. We all know the power they have to twist things around especially concerning teams like the wolves.
