wow..i'm pretty sure we gave Antoine a buyout offer. Plus we're still paying him. This makes us look like the badguys. I'd love to get paid to sit on the bench. No one cares Toine.

I think it makes Toine look more like a whiner than anything else. He didn't get the buyout offer he wanted this year. OK, so deal with it Antoine. Ride out the season and then let the team trade your expiring contract in the off season when it has some value. I wouldn't buy him out either when I could get a $9 million expiring to deal in a few months.

exactly. we are being made out to look like a holes. We gave him an offer and he didn't accept it. shoot us for wanting to either buy him out cheap our deal him for talent next year.

I hope that Minnesota management continues to stonewall the buyout request. It makes no logical sense for a team to pay someone $9 million to go play for another team.

It doesn't make us look like anything. We paid out Juwon Howard, Troy Hudson, and Theo Ratliff. The front office did them favors by letting them go, and 9mil for Antoine **** Walker?

Antonie Walker has never been the poster child for NBA behavior. Not that he falls into the JR Rider category, but Walker is absolutely a career whiner.

Its not like some NBA team thinks that Walker can still be the "2nd star" type.

Besides, hes made a ton of money over the years. He wants a buyout so that the Wolves can't/won't use him as an expiring...hes going to have to give back a huge chunk of money. Personally, I'd offer him $3 mil and say "take it or leave it".

Sad thing is, in spite of it all he'll still get a decent offer once he becomes available.

No, but what do I lose? Worst case scenario hes an expiring deal (there is no way he picks up his option ( i think he has one for the following...not sure)). You offer him $3 mil for a buyout, he doesn't want...he rots...no skin off my back.

Hes 31, he'll get another deal. Why should I offer him anything more when there is no real incentive for me to do so. Its not like hes a talented malcontent. Its not like he has a lot more years on his contract.

He really wants out, hes going to have to do as Adonal Foyle did.

Because KG is gone and the media can't speculate anymore KG trades, the young guys are actually decent players (not the new Nbudi Ebi), and frankly Walker has always been someone the media loves to hate.

My brother (Suns fan) tends to think somewhat the same, just he thinks we always take the right guy and trade him away. He is one step from drinking Brandon Roy ball soup and thinks Foye is the worst player ever, also thinks that we are forever stupid for trading Allen for Marbury.

He thinks he is such a great GM when being able to grade drafts that happened a decade ago.

My bro keeps reminding me how he and the front office was wrong for taking Foye and how Foye wont be crap. Foye can't do anything at best he will just be an average bench player etc.. etc... He hates everybody on the squad besides AL. He thought Brewer was alright 5 months ago but now he says we screwed up that pick and Brewer is a mess.

He hates Rashad thinks Craigers is ho hum for a 2nd rounder. Telfair sucks, Gomes sucked horribly and now he is so-so. The more picks we have the worse cause we are just going to screw them up. Basically this team is hell on earth.

Aww c'mon, Ndudi didn't show this much hustle and certainly never had good rebounding games like Brew.

Ndudi never had more than 1 assist in a game, ever.
-Never had more than 1 steal or block in a game ever.

Ndudi also played more minutes than Brew has(27mpg to 22mpg).

Brewer also has a good work ethic, and will be a good defensive player.

I completely agree with the buyout talk. I've stated my opinions on that topic many times (hate the buyouts, and cant stand the spoiled athletes for expecting nearly full value). But I will say this - I feel bad for Walker in that I think he just wants to play. I dont think he's mad about being stuck on a rebuilding team. I think he'd be happy if he was playing. These guys, for all their faults, have a limited shelf life in the league, and most of them want to play when they can. Certainly he wouldnt be playing big minutes anymore, but on a non-rebuilding team he would probably be getting some time, which it seems like that's all he wants. I dont blame the FO/coaches either, cause playing the young guys is the right move. Its just an unfortunate situation that he's stuck this year. Best case scenario is that the team finds a way to trade him this offseason, and he goes to a team that will play him and MN gets value.

Guess I put that wrong. What I meant is, the Wolves are actually drafting good players... not crappy players like Nbudi Ebi. So the new Nbudi would have been some instant-bust that you could've seen a mile away, while a talent like Josh Howard <same draft right> would still be there on the draft board.

There's no question that Brewer is going to be a rotation player for years to come, he's no where near Ebi. Arguments can be made that Brewer was taken too high, but saying he'll be out of the NBA in a few years a la Ebi is ridiculous.
