Size, yes. Length, idk. I'd say Diop might get a longer deal than Kwame on the "Well, we know what we're going to get from Desagana." factor.

I like the idea of adding size, but I think I'd prefer to get in through trading McCants (whether for a player straight up for for a pick to take Hibbert)

As long as we never have to throw the ball down to him and let him operate. He is still a top 10 defensive Center in this league.

I'm no Kwame expert, but I think people were down on him because he never developed to be anything near what people expected with a #1 pick overall, and then the big contract. However, if our expectations are just a defensive center, I figure he can do that, though I'd like opinions on how he'd do next to Al.

Its a name that I don't see tossed around much as anything but a contract, so I'm curious whether he should be in the conversation?

Where is he going to go on offense? He has no pull up whatsoever, every time I have seen him play, he has tried to post on the low block, exactly where Al posts. Let's figure out where he would fit into the offense and we'll talk, we don't want 4 on 5 on offense and leave Al doubled.

No way. Not for that kinda money. If I'm gonna take a chance, how about POB, or even better, Robert Swift. I expect a nice year for Swift next year. His body should be better adjusted to his bulk by now and ready to withstand a pounding. I think

Didnt we already take a chance on a former no.1 pick, 7 foot Center before? I really dont like anything Kwame does. And I definitely wouldnt call him a top 10 defensive 5

If we cannot get Diop and we draft at the 3 or backcourt I would do it. Brown fits what we need there. He is a big physical body with great post defense. A small market team where he does not get much attention sounds very good. Also, if he developed a pinch of the talent he has it would be a steal.

Griffin has mental issues and we played him out of position. Brown has confidence issues, but I think it would be a good fit.

I'd take Kwame on the team if he would sign a minimum or very close to it deal ,but anywhere much over that I wouldn't do it.

He isn't really the sort of defender that the Wolves need ,he is a man defender while the team desperately needs a help defender at which he sucks.

I'm not sure I totally agree with this. I think we need a man defender more than a help one. We need someone to guard the Duncan's, Yao's, Howard's, etc. of the NBA so that Al doesn't need to waste as much energy or fouls on the defensive end.

I've actually thought for a while that we should go after Brown. If similar contracts, I might even sign him`ahead of Craig Smith.

I see no reason to use MLE this season. Save the money and attempt to sign a good free agent next season.

According to what I have always read, Kwame Brown has an E Curry type work ethic which is close to nil. I would take Brook Lopez over KB as I'm sure Lopez will be very coachable and eager to succeed.

Kwame Brown hasn't even played in 30% of the 574 regular season games in his 7 year career mostly because of injury and has only been a starter (most on a bad team) 46% of the games in which he has played. Michael Jordan wasn't long sending him packing and I'm sure he would have tried to develop him if he thought he could get success.

Let's not be to hasty to overpay yet another player thinking some other team is going to gobble them up and overpay. The Wolves just got rid of several bad signings so let's try to minimize having another. Remember the talk when the Wolves would sign Hassell? Better through him the money as teams are waiting in line. Turns out he is getting DNP's and little minutes on better teams and even on not so good teams like the Nets. He has always been over rated by many as has Kwame Brown.

Not the MLE, just to clarify. I am not against getting him, but I am against using the MLE. As Worm pointed out we should not use it.

I have not read anything bad about his work ethic.

I agree with you...

He is a respectable defender and a guy you wouldn't mind coming off the bench for the LLE but I don't think he would be ideal for this team. I think one of the most underrated and overlooked things when talking about players is their contribution to spacing. Brown just makes everyone be in worse positions to succeed in the flow of any offense. I don't think any team should invest more than half of the MLE on him.
