I think hes played greated all season and doing good against boston does anyone think we could get him for corey brewer this years pick if its not in the top 2 and rashad mcants or something like that the way i see it rashad is good but not someone we need and josh smith plays the same position as corey is the same age and is way better

I'd do that deal in a second, but I'd assume Josh Smith is essentially untouchable in the eyes of the hawks because he's so young and talented. It would probably take at least a bona fide all-star to pry him away from them.

I'm pretty sure there's almost no way we could pry smith from the hawks. I think they're almost done with the players part of the rebuilding process. The only position they don't have is a Center. They made the playoffs this year with a young and athletic team the only way they have to go right now is up. If I was them there'd only be a few players in the league that would entice me to trade him. I think he stays in the ATL.

I think it's more likely we could pry Marvin Williams away from them instead of Smith while giving up much less in the process.

On topic, I agree with Tor that it would probably be a better idea to try and get Marv instead of Smith. I don't know though. On some forum i read all about how tons of ppl say corey brewer is a bust already. Personally i think he'll turn into a decent all around player at his peak averaging about 15ppg, 5-7rpg, 4apg, 2spg. The thing I can't figure out about corey is whether he should be a SG or a SF.

The only way Smith comes to Minny is if Big Al goes to Atlanta and there is zero chance of that happening.

Corey is gonna be fine. Calling him a bust after his rookie season is just dumb, particularly when they were re-working his shot. At least give the guy until the end of next season to show improvement. Personally, I think this team has more pressing issues than the SF position.

Maybe he got waived for blogging incomprehensible nonsense.

I think Corey Brewer in his prime will be a better version of Ryan Gomes.

I don't see it. Brewer is a sg/sf and Gomes is a sf/pf. Brewer is already better on D. Brewer is much more athletic then Gomes. They are different types of players.

yeah, there is very little comparison between Brewer and Gomes. Gomes is built, Brewer is skinny, Gomes is "athletic enough" Brewer is very athletic, they couldn't be any more different with their physical tools for being comparable heights.

That could change if Corey bulks up isnt he like 6'10.

He is not that tall. Why do you think they are comparable?

I think both Brewer and Gomes have high bball i.q.s and can impact a game without scoring. Is there another player on the wolves who brewer compares closer too?

if brewer had a high b ball iq he would never act lost on offense, not when he's being coached by one of the few coaches who bother to draw up plays regularly.

Why does he need to be compared to someone on the Wolves? Or be compared to someone at all.. Not every player is comparable to another player in the league.

That's true. I always thought Brewer compared to a young Judge Reinhold, and Gomes to a svelt Ezra Pound.
