The Wolves need a franchise point guard more than they need a franchise power forward. Al Jefferson is having an All-Star-caliber season, but Sebastian Telfair is easily replaceable.

However, the Wolves would likely opt for Beasley. Jefferson can move to the center position if Beasley comes on board. And the Wolves still believe that Randy Foye will eventually be the team's point guard.

If I were Kevin McHale, I'd go with Rose. But, since McHale almost always gets this wrong come June, we'll stick with Beasley here.

If he is aiming for accuracy here and not what's best for the team then he's right. The wolves have a history of screwing their picks up.

Doesn't matter what anybody else does, the fact is the wolves have a history of it and it is likely they will continue to do so.

Name one HUGE mistake we have made other then the Ebi over Howard pick.

Yes Foye over roy will probably end up going portlands way, but its not as if Foye is a total bust either.

The only other bad draft choice I can remember Mchale making is the Paul grant one back in like... what 97? 98?

In what alternate universe is picking Beasley over Rose a "bad" pick?

Yeah, you're right, I guess I was more taking a shot at him implying that taking Beez over Rose is another in a long list of BAD decisions.

Yes there have been bad decisions, but I wouldn't consider taking Beasley over Rose before either one of them played a minute in the NBA a bad decision.

This can probably be explained by McHale's desire to draft "winners". We had annual losers in Ricky Davis and Mark Blount on our team so McHale wanted to infuse a winning attitude.

With those two off the team I wouldn't be worried about McHale taking guys who had big NCAA tourney performances.
