doesn't sound like it matches salaries, but yes please, if we're going to spend a pick on Mayo, then we might as well trade for Melo

Melo?

#3 and Corey Brewer?

Melo-Jefferson would be a dynamic scoring combo.

Doesn't match salaries, and if the Wolves did trade for Melo, Corey is the one player outside of Al I'd most want to keep.

I'd do it in less than a heartbeat.

Foye
McCants
Melo
Gomes
Jefferson

Yes please.

Gomes and Melo at the forwards would be awful. I would rather see Madsen start.

Brewer fits with that lineup so much better than McCants. McCants-Melo is a combo that will get burned time and time again. See: Smith+Melo in Denver.

That would equate to the worst defensive team in the league. If we could do it with a trade involving McCants and a one of our picks next year instead of Corey then I'd be more willing.

Something like:
#3, McCants, Boston Pick, Walker, Buckner

Foye/Telfair
Brewer/Jaric
Melo/Gomes
Jefferson/Gomes
#31 or FA/Richard

Brewer is kind of a deal breaker for me. Throw in someone else besides Brewer and I'd do it. Someone like McCants. Obviously the salaries are way off but with 'Toine we could get creative.

Melo is a sure thing. You know he's going to give you 25+ ppg. Him next to Al would keep double teams off Al.

Madsen can't play in the NBA anymore.

As much as I like Mayo, you just can't pass up Anthony if he's available. Love that guy. I can't believe Denver is putting him on the block.

On second thought, even with Brewer out of the deal, I'll pass on trading Antoine Walker for a younger version of himself. No thanks.

I want nothing to do with Carmelo Anthony.

His FG 46% drops to 38.9% in the play-offs, which might be part of the reason his record is 3-20 in the play-offs.

Also, there's no excuse for driving drunk

I don't like Melo as a person, but as a player you'd have to consider it. Not sure I'd do it, but if you could jettison some bad contracts with that I might.

For what it's worth I think some of you have already over-rated Brewer's value. I like him, but we still don't know what he's going to be as a player and to keep him for the upside he never showed this year vs. getting a proven star doesn't make sense to me.

And I shudder at the immaturity it takes to get a DUI, and then get another traffic violation nine days later.

HATE the guy. I hope that Glen Taylor sticks with his "no bad character" promise.

I'm not calling anyone out in particular but why doesn't Vikings DT Kevin Williams get the heat Melo does for a DUI? Are they not both athletes who made the same mistake?

LeBron got a speeding ticket.

Denver's team is simply not built for the playoffs. They live and die by AI and Melo playing one on one or chucking 3s. You can't pin all the blame on Melo for his team's playoff woes.
