Britt Robson--McHale comment

I was listening to some archieve kfan talk and Hartmen was interviewing Robson and he had the feeling that McHale was "just as excited with Gallinari as he has been since he scouted KG"

You probably shouldn't be taking him with the #3. If you want him, you should trade back a few spots (to #6 or #7?) to get him. Already mentioned are the

Walker + ? for Curry + #6 (Knicks)

#3 +? for #7 + our pick returned + ? (LAC)

Either way, I am a fan of Gallinari, just not as big a fan at picking him #3.

I would love to find a fair way to get Curry, Lopez/Mayo, and Danilo.

I think that turns us into a pretty solid team.

If were talking sleepers I like Speights. He's my fourth favorite player in the draft- behind Rose/Beasley/Mayo. I hope the Wolves give him a workout. He would be a good player to match up with against Gallinari.

I also think Bill Walker will be a top-ten talent coming out of this draft when it's all said and done.

Hmmm, I don't like the idea of adding Curry - he is about the softest big man currently playing the game. He has said it himself, he's just not aggressive and doesn't seem to know how to become aggressive. Plus he can only play in the low post, is probably even slower than Al getting up and down the court, isn't a good defensive player, has a bum heart, etc. Why would the wolves want to add him?

It's interesting to combine the NY salary dump with the LAC trade down assuming the Jaric for Thomas swap is in there. Especially when you factor in the Jordan top 5 promise.

Not a huge fan of Curry. That said just having a big body to prevent Al from banging against the opposing teams big man all game does have some value. I wouldn't use Walker's expiring contract which is too valuable in that kind of deal though.

What I would consider is Jaric, Madsen, and #3 for Curry and #7. That would be if we were sure Gallarni is our guy (and clearly better than Mayo in our GM's opinion) and would be there at #7. Also we'd be moving a bad contract in Jaric and a guy who doesn't play in Madsen for a bad contract in Curry, but at least he's a C and we're not adding any additional long term cost from what we're currently obligated to.

D'Antoni's system would probably work well with Mayo and Jaric, so I could see there being some interest.

It's risky and might not be the best option, but I'd consider it. Of course Gallarni is a SF and we have Gomes and Brewer there already unless Gomes plays significant minutes at PF and Brewer SG.

I like Bill Walker a lot as well.

This wouldn't be a bad thing at all. Gallinari is as/more proven as any Euro lottery pick has ever been.

I don't like this at all, the entire idea of taking Curry would be so we could get their pick (while keeping our own). Instead you have us taking Curry and moving down.

You know, I placed them both there, but really didn't think about putting the two together. Can't say that I mind that either. Am sure we may possibly have to sweeten with one of the extra firsts we have next year (less likely) or one of our seconds this year (more likely). Regadless, have to really like that line up and don't mind the potential bench either.

Smith?
Gomes
McCants
Telfair?

with T. Thomas, Madsen, Buckner (expiring), Richards?, Snyder? and possibly a 2nd rounder or two. Who am I missing? (all the ?'s do not need to/will not be resigned).

Only may be missing the stasr potential of Mayo, though I think our picks may be quite a bit better in the long run, Gallinari especially. We also get a ton bigger/taller and longer as a team.
