i saw this on the timberwolves site under the IM icons screen. i've never seen it and thought they may have accidentally updated the page too early.
it's odd, if nobody has seen it before, let the speculation begin.

That is without a doubt the oddest thing I have ever seen that was called a wolf. No way in hell thats our logo.

What the hell is that!? Why is that on our wolves site? They better not freaking bust out that garbage for our new logos! If they pulled that crap, I could see half the players on our roster burning their jerseys right then and there. Is this a joke!? Don't do it McHale!?!?!?!
I had a dream that I got the morning paper and turned it to the sports section. On the front was Mayo in a new wolves jersey. It was crazy looking. It was a dark, glossy silver. Then on the sides right starting at the top of the ribcage area there were three green slashes. It looked pretty crazy and Mayo had a ball in hands and they made it look like he was ripping through the paper.

Our jerseys better be sick on draft night; I like our current ones, but maybe a change in jerseys is a good thing: New look, new team.

Why is it so hard to recognize? It's the eyes nose and mouth of the current logo, don't have a heart attack.

That logo was on the cover of a media guide some years ago.

thank god....i was worried that they paid 6 figures to some design firm, put it through focus groups and got that dumb, over-simplified...thing.
what's odd is that the "new" one is slightly different in the angle of the eye slits, as well as having no texture to the tongue, and the nose being bigger in proportion to the mouth. it's clearly different.
