Dorsey declares that Chicago is drafting Beasley

Post#1 » by cpfsf » Wed May 28, 2008 8:18 pm

"Chicago's got a lot of pressure on them because Derrick's from Chicago," But they're going to take Beasley. I've got the inside."

if this is true, I guess there will be no more Beasley-Mayo trade discussions

You think it's worth Foye and a future 1st to move up one pick? Is Rose that much better than Mayo? The most I would give up to move from 3-2 is the 3rd pick, their 1st next year returned, and their 2nd this year returned.

Yeah, but nobody expected them to be a #2 seed, make it to the second round, and take the defending champs to 7.

And now the defending champs are getting whooped by a team with Fisher as the pg.

It doesn't take a an elite pg to make it in this league... look at who the pgs were who started for the eventual champions over the past 20 years.

All this hub-ub about stud pgs is unfounded IMO.

I agree 100%. It wasn't a knock on Fish, I think he's a great player.

My main point is that almost everyone seems to have Chris Paulmainia and has gone a little over the top with all these claims about stud pgs.

Agreed, It's not a PG league....It's a best player league.

Which ever between Rose and Beasley the Bulls draft, Miami still ends up a success for them.

As a Heat fan, I'd love to have Beasley on our team. Beasley/Marion/Wade is better than Rose/Marion/Wade. I don't want the Heat to be the new New Jersey Nets of the east. Where does the Kidd/Carter/Jefferson trio ends up? We need a post presence to balance our offense and not just rely on the perimeter as the Nets was.

The difference of Rose and Mayo as a prospect is not worth Foye.
