Lopez could fall out of the top 10?

According to Chad Ford that's what he's hearing.
The word among NBA executives drafting in the lottery is that Stanford's Brook Lopez may be the top name who could slip out of the Top 10. I spoke with a number of executives and scouts who said they thought he was a more appropriate pick in the 10 to 20 range. Some of them had both Kevin Love and DeAndre Jordan ranked ahead of Lopez on their draft boards.
That's out of sorts with what I've been told for months. What's changed?
"This is a process," one NBA GM said. "We are gathering information, going back to the tape, and looking at things and we're just getting a better feel for players. I know a lot of guys on our staff, me included, are worried about Brook. In fact, I'd say half our guys think his brother [Robin Lopez] will be a better NBA player. Workouts will really be important for him. I think we have a lot of questions about him right now."

This is incredible news for the Wolves. The more this spreads around, the less likely the Wolves are to WASTE #3 on him.
YES!

DeAndre Jordan had an absolutely **** second half of the season. I would have thought his stock would be the one to drop.
I fell into the Jordan hype machine too, but now I seriously think he needs an extra year or two in college.
No way we take Lopez, especially now

Will Lopez Work Out For Wolves?
According to several NBA officials, the Minnesota Timberwolves covet Stanford center Brook Lopez. One problem: some NBA insiders claim Lopez is balking at working out for the T-Wolves. -- The Journal Times
Got that off of ESPN nba rumor page

I hate when players pull that crap. You should be lucky you even have a chance at playing in the league.

that'd be weak if Lopez refused to workout

Why did he refuse to work out? He can' t think that he'll go 1 or 2, can he?

situational evidence suggests that it's because he is a whiny bitch. Mayo was open to playing in Minny, draft Mayo!!

I guess that's one way of dropping out of the top 10. Maybe he was feeling too separated from his twin.

Maybe he doesn't want to be held responsible for McHale's murder and a mass suicide if we end up drafting him.
In all seriousness, any player that refuses to work out or play for a team doesn't derserve to play professional ball. Ban them for a year I say, ban them!

I think everybody hates Minnesota. Lopez is a Cali kid, he probably isn't a fan either.

football players do this sometimes to not hurt their stock. Lopez prob seen himself at three for the past month and feels working out might actually hurt his chances of going high

I do not see Lopez as that much more of a better prospect than the centers we can get in the late 1st (Hibbert as a great example)
Draft Mayo and move back into the 1st. Lopez is not a top 3 prospect.

maybe he means he won't workout against other top prospects, like say Kevin Love, which is common for top picks

No idea what you are talking about.
What I have heard is there is 70% chance of Mayo, 15 of Lopez and 15 of someone else/trade pick. So to be fair 3 Mayo slides and 1 Lopez seemed right.
I cured my unfaithfulness. Only Mayo now.
