ESPN Ford-BS rumor

The Wolves seem especially ready to make a deal if Michael Beasley isn't on the board at No. 3. They like several of the bigs in this draft, including Brook Lopez, Kevin Love and Danilo Gallinari, but none of them is worth taking at No. 3.
It appears the Wolves won't take back veterans, though. Several GMs told me that Kevin McHale is looking for young players only.
(Not sure if I saw this elsewhere, if I did tell me)
Like most Ford rumors he is half there. Replace Beasley and Mayo and it is in line with what I have been told.

Interesting.
I doubt this is true as Mchale has hard ons for combo guards.

I'd love to see an analysis of all the so-called experts and their actual rate of successfully predicting a trade. Ford et al throw so much ca ca up there that eventually one has to not stink. There was a book review in the New Yorker a year or so ago that talked about how monkeys throwing darts are more accurate at predicting future events then the so called experts.
No one forecloses anything right now, GMs explore ideas with other GM's, and in the end if it works for both sides it goes down. Yet these initial talks, off the cuff comments get reported as virtual locks by third rate hacks with enough skill to fan the flames without actually saying jack to cause the diehard fans to salivate. Remember, their job is first and foremost to move product and while their info my be technically accurate "a source close to" or "McHale said he thinks Love fits..." the context the statement was uttered is not reported nor is the information compared to other contexts---while it is true that McHale loves Love there is no indication as to whether he loves him more or less than Mayo.
The New York media is the worst. Everyday during the Isiah debacle there was a headline that Isiah is targeting xxxx.
