Per the trade board, the following trades have apparently been agreed to:
JO to Toronto for TJ Ford, #17, and filler (probably has to include Rasho)
Charlotte has acquired #20 from Denver for a future protected first and cash
*Update* ESPN is reporting Richard Jefferson for Yi and Bobby Simmons. Wow, either Yi is worth more than I thought or RJ is worth a lot less.

The teams that would devalue their firsts are disappearing, and limiting the chance that McHale can trade our two seconds up for a late first. NJN and WASH are still there, but they have big issues to work out with their big contract players.

Rasho could be bought out. He had a good year last year, he's still got gas left. He could be a vet big the Wolves could bring in for the minimum.

I like it. If I believe even half of what TOR posters say, Rasho was very strong defensively and now that KG is gone, he doesn't have to be scared of anyone here.

Rasho may be able to help us but I haven't forgotten how he betrayed us to join a rival. Just say no to Rasho.

Rasho also hated Flip didn't he? They put him through those "toughness" drills. He may be afraid Witt will pull some of the same crap.

Why are we not buying picks? Or at least can we make an attempt to make it look like we are trying to make moves.

I have a feeling we will do something with our second rounders and move up. Not all trades on draft day are announced beforehand.

The front office is already concerned that we are too young, and is reluctant to add three more young guys with the picks we have already. If they don't combine the two seconds for one first round pick, I would not be surprised to see them trade for a future pick, or even sell one of the second rounders. I would be sad to see the latter, but too much youth is not always a good thing either. They can always pick a Euro and just keep him over there.

Rasho deserves more than the minimum. If he was a free agent right now, he'd probably command near the mid-level.
Why does the draft have to start at 4 on the west coast. DAMNIT. After all of this I'm going to miss the draft.

Yeah, I'm surprising at the earliness of the draft considering the lateness of the NBA Finals in Boston. 9:30 EST on weeknight? So much for taking your little ones.

I don't see why a team would sell off their first round pick before the draft like the Hornets did.Given that you can get the same deal on draft night it seems to me that it is better to see how the draft develops before taking the money in case someone drops way down the board.

Not necessarily true. If Portland is targeting a certain player, and they're not there at #27 anymore, then the Hornets lose. You take the deal while you can. Its evident they didn't really want the pick anyway so they were content with dealing the pick and not seeing how the draft plays out.

Maybe it was a condition that DEN wanted, to make sure that the deal went through even if the guy CHA wanted was already picked? This fact could be reflected in the protections on the pick as well. For example, they may have said, "If you want to wait, then we want lower protections .. start your pick at #14 for protections, not #18.

McCants for #20 + Othella Harrington's expiring?
CHA cheaply reunites Felton, May and McCants in Carolina?
MIN's front office appears eager to move McCants, and a pick at #20 probably means a big man prospect.
I don't like it myself, but which side says "no?"

Anyone besides me keep seeing the heading title "OT More ... " and for an instant, think its a thread about "OJ Mayo?"

Yi and Simmons for RJ really surprises me.

I like it for the Nets. The Bucks get a pretty good deal too.

Bucks are gearing for more of a compete now team, Nets continue to rebuild. Makes sense on both sides. Nets still need to deal Carter now. Bucks still want a pass first PG. Very interesting.
Personally, I like Yi more than R.J., but this trade works very well for both teams.

If it helps to get Lebron to the New Jersey, it's a good deal for the Nets.
