Arvydas Sabonis? Anyone else see it? A couple of extremely smart but not terribly athletic bigs who shoot and pass very well.

I still like Chris Webber as the best comparrison, at least from the 90s-era anyway.

^^^If that's how he ends up, that's a hell of a pick by the Wolves.
I see a bit of Brad Miller meets David West.

That's what I was thinking. I made a post somewhere, it was along the lines of "Love will be a Chris Webber type without the explosiveness"

Kevin Love = Christian Laettner
Great Job McHale.

I can't see it, Sabonis had a 33lbs. head, while Love,... he has a regular head.

"Feel for the game" should not be underestimated and Kevin Love has it. "Feel for the game" is what separates decent and good players from great ones. It's why so many of the big men drafted each year fail.
Is Love the ideal big-man from a physical standpoint? No, but he is not so undersized that his "feel for the game" won't be able to overcome that in most situations.
What's insane is that if McHale had been in the draft this year and been sitting there at #31, I think there are people (not so much on this board) who would've compared him physically to DeAndre Jordan and taken Jordan based on the upside.

That's not bad. Someone posted that Love tested out athletically almost exactly the same as Al Horford. He obviously lacks Horford's explosiveness, but I think Al Horford with a jump shot is a fair comparison.

Because the mention of Chrissy Laettner makes long-time Wolves fans throw up in their mouths. And because Mayo is the next Kobe Bryant. Really. Just ask him, he'll tell you.
