"The 2009 NBA draft doesn't appear to have the sex appeal of this year's draft. So far there are no Rose- or Beasley-type players. In fact, many NBA scouts are saying the upcoming draft could be the weakest in several years. Still, there are some very good players in next year's draft. The '09 draft should be richer in point guards than the '08 draft. Led by Arizona's Brandon Jennings and Spain's Ricky Rubio, 11 point guards are ranked in my top 30."

I think this draft might not be so bad for Minnesota but we need a good draft pick. We need a young guard more than anything. My guess is though that we will have the 4th or 5th worst record in the NBA. Hopefully we can land Demar Derozan, which would be perfect, but I think Brandon Jennings and Ricky Rubio could work too.

I think its a little early to say how the draft will be next year. No one thought a Westbrook, Alexander, Lopez, etc. would be where the ended up. Surprises like that push more and more talent down the draft board making the draft better and better as the season goes on. Someone like say a Tyler Smith could rocket up the draft board from the 20s to being a high lottery pick, moving someone down.

Going into this season, how many of us thought that DeAndre Jordan would last until pick 35? Or who thought Speights would shine like he did, improving his draft stick to 16?

Brandon Jennings please??

Hasheem Thabeet!

I want either of those two on the team next year: Anyone know anything more about Brandon's college situation?

I'm not ready to dive into the 2009 draft until the Wolves have at least 20 losses.

I think we need more PFs, preferably big, slow white guys. I know we already have like eight but why quit when your ahead? We may as well keep going.

PG - Love, 2009 BOS pick
SG - Cardinal, Maddog (3pt specialist), 2009 pick
SF - Gomes, Anderson, 2009 MIA pick
PF - Al, (Pekovic), J Foster, Cookie, Fazekas
C - T Murphy, Foster, Hawes, Richard

trades made:
Miller for J Foster
Foye for Fazekas
Shad for Ryan Anderson
Brewer for S Hawes
Collins for T Murphy

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
