wiretap
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... ting_ways/I think hes a legit 7 footer who compliment Al's game well, he can shoot and rebound, while possessing high basketball IQ. Some said he's just a slight better version of Mark Blount, but I think he's better than that.
I'd like to see an Al Jefferson, Cookie, Love, Krstic 4 men rotation for the C/PF spots, with Al and one of the other 3 starting.
Sign him to a 2 year deal w/ of full MLE wouldnt be a bad idea, if he din do well at least he's not gonna prevent us from being a big buyer in 2010 FA run
Now as he parted way from NJ, we could really use him.....maybe asking Nikola Pekovic to persuade his countryman....what do u guys think?

I'm not a fan of his, not even when he was putting up his 16/7 and Nets fans were trying to convince that he was the next top center. Always thought he was soft. His rebounding is not good. We already have Collins, Love, Jefferson, Smith, Gomes, Cardinal, and Madsen. Thats enough for me. Offense, defense, rebounding, hustle.

meh... if we go after a 7-footer, we need it to be a athletic defensive specialist to create a 3-man rotation of Jefferson, Love & player X. Kristic brings nothing new to the table except 2 inches.

He's far outside the Wolves' budget.

I hadn't considered the Pekovic connection -- interesting idea.
I don't know if Krstic still fits, but I would make one suggestion from the financial side...
Instead of offering the full MLE (and we may need a piece of it for a back-up PG), we may be able to get by with less, if we make it a 3-year deal (say $4 mil?). Financially, the Nets are gearing up for the 2010 free agency class, and I doubt they would match a deal over two years, particularly with their glut of big men.
Granted, this is a bigger risk because of Krstic's injury, but that price is not bad for a 7-footer.

What do we need Krstic for when we have Love, who is so good he can play the 4 AND the 5 at the same time?

idealy i think we could split our MLE to get a backup PG and a proven 7 footer, give that Telfair will not return.
I agree with SSUBluesman and Devilz, but we do need some additional inches to compete in the west. From Duncan and Yao to Biedrens and Bynum, every team seems to have a height-advantage matchup with the wolves at the 5, I think additional 7 foot skilled center is really a must for the wolves to take the next step forward, u cant realy count on Collins much.....Krstic, meanwhile, proved in the last 2 seasons that he can be a factor inside the paint or at abut 15 foot from the basket. The only thing that concerned me is whether he can be effective in the west rather than the east, but i studied some of his clips showing him matching up against Jermaine O'neal and Chris Bosh, I think he's not bad!~~
I would say a 4mil/year deal is very logical, however nowadays overpaying is just too common...

Krstic didn't really prove much the last two seasons, he's been hurt most of that time. I don't think he's the answer against the Duncans, Yaos, etc. Some additional height wouldn't be bad, but I'd prefer that height to have some defensive/rebounding acumen.
