The Celtics worked out Pacers free agent center David Harrison and Timberwolves free agent swingman Kirk Snyder yesterday. The 7-foot, 280-pound Harrison averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 12.8 minutes per game last season. Snyder averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists with Houston and Minnesota.

I thought that he wanted to go somewhere where he could start. Would he even get minutes in Boston?

I think Snyder would be a good bench player for the Celtics, and I think this would benefit them both. I wish him well.

Good for Kirk. He is now in my top 5-10 favorite non-Wolves/hustle players.

The man works hard on the floor. Every minute he has the ball he's going 100 percent. That would be a great asset for any contending team to have.

Why haven't we discussed the possibility of David Harrison yet? He seems to be the same type of player POB is? Both are talented 7 footers who haven't played much...any chance he comes here?

I think he got in trouble a little while back so he might not be the type of player the Wolves want.

I am not sure what to think of Snyder on the Celtics. Don't they already have a better back up wing in Tony Allen? It doesn't seem like Snyder would get many minutes. But I could see the Celtics resting Pierce and Allen for more than a few games so Snyder could step in and get big minutes during those times.

The Celtics recently traded for Bill Walker, and Corey Maggette said he wants to play for either the Spurs or the Celtics. If Maggette chooses to play for the Celtics, I don't think Kirk Snyder would have a big role as he would be battling Walker for minutes.

I think he would. it doesn't look like Posey will resign (though I hope for them that he will) so they could play him at the 3 as well and IMO he's a poor man version of Posey so he might fit the bill to a certain degree.

Slightly off topic, but Boston worked out Patrick O'Bryant, too. Brian Butch was also at that workout. Word is Butch dominated POB. If Brian Butch dominates you, you don't belong in the NBA. Seems like the Heat weren't impressed either.
