The basis of this was formed in another thread, but I think this is all worked out now. Casey got the MN\BOS part figured out.

Part 1:
MN + BOS
Scal + Pruitt + Cash + 2011 1st for Gomes(s&t) + 2009 2nd (I think MN has a few of them)

Boston out:
Brian Scalabrine - $3,206,897
Gabe Pruitt - $711,517
($3,918,414*1.25+$100,000=$4,998,017.50)
Boston in:
Ryan Gomes - $4,998,017

Minnesota out:
Ryan Gomes - $2,499,009 (BYC, 50% of actual salary)
($2,499,009*1.25+$100,000=$3,223,761.25)
Minnesota in:
Brian Scalabrine - $3,206,897
Gabe Pruitt - $711,517 (Minimum salary exception)

Part 2:
MN + IND
Madsen + BOS Cash + BOS 09 + MN Cash for JO TE

Part 3:
MN + IND
JO TE for Jack

As 1 trade it looks like this...

MN IN: Jack + 2011 BOS + Pruitt
MN OUT: Madsen + cash + 2009 BOS 1st + 2009 2nd(s)(??)

BOS IN: Gomes + 2nd(s)??
BOS OUT: Scal, Pruitt, 2011 1st

INDY IN: Madsen + Cash(for buyout) + 2009 BOS 1st
INDY OUT: Jack

Overall:
Indy buys out Madsen w\ cash sent to them and he returns to wolves as a coach. So MN sends Madsen and the Money to buy him out to Indy for the JO TE. It then returns the JO TE for Jack.

For MN:
Combo guard attained

For BOS:
Get Posey replacement and retain MLE

For IND:
Get a late 1st for Jack

What the? I would under no circumstances play Smith at the 5. Richard if we bring him back.

Smith is a 4/5, he has played minutes at the 5 in both of his seasons whether you realize it or not. Regardless, It's not as if he(or Richard) will see any of those minutes with Love/Al/Collins ahead of him on the depth chart.

There were a few times the Wolves played a small lineup with Gomes at 4 and Smith at 5, but it wasn't very often, not worthy of noting on a depth chart imo.

I think you are underestimating the impact this lineup will have on how basketball is played in the nba.

Pooh
Brewer
Cardinal
Scal
Smith

I don't like it. I'm not interested in anything we would pick up in this scenario. Personally, I'd rather have Gomes who the front office seems to like as a player and a person.

This is the fourth Gomes sign and trade thread in the last two weeks.

I'm more interested in Marcus Williams and Krstic from the Nets.

I'm very impressed with how clever this is.

First, let's just set aside the Gomes part, because its unnecessary for the trade.

In the two IND trades, we should be able to include enough cash to pay off Madsen's salary. I don't mind paying $2 mil for a young, but semi-experienced back-up, and I may be willing to give up the BOS pick for it. We don't even add a roster spot. Using the TPE is particularly clever, because it allows us to use two contracts that just barely don't match. And by paying off Madsen's contract in cash we send, it clears more money for next Summer, if we choose not to give a qualifying offer to Jack.

Nice job.
