The goal is to end up with a team that you believe can compete sooner than the current roster.

The rules:
1- You can only make trades with two different teams. It can be a seperate trade with each team or a three team trade. You can trade as many players as you want with those two teams. All picks can be traded.
2- You can only sign one free agent (not including Gomes, Telfair, and Snyder).

Gomes S&T + Booth or GG TPE + rights to swap 2nd rnd pick in 2010 for Antonio Daniels
or
Gomes S&T + Collins + Bos 1st for Antonio Daniels + Etan Thomas plus future 2nd.

Gomes makes an immediate impact as a do-it-all player backing up Caron and 'Twan. Gets Daniels' (and Etan's) contract off their books while getting either money or an expiring and the rights to swap 2nd's in a few years or late late 1st rnd pick.. We get a awesome vet mentor for Foye that fits in perfectly with the 2010 FA plan as well as someone that I think would bring more to the table than Collins could and also fits the 2010 plan.

Carney + Utah 1st via Philly for Thabo Sefolosha

Not sure if we we are willing to deal the 1st or if Chicago will deal Thabo, who I think is a really good player and can be the 1/2/3 guy that McHale is supposedly got a hard on for. Chi-town does it for the future 1st.

Will this team be a contender this year? No. Is it really possible? Not really likely IMO. But I like this team going into opening day

I also considered dealing for Speedy Claxton, Kristic + M.Williams, Tim Thomas + 1st rnd pick returned, and another deal that I cant seem to find my sheet for. Also had interest in Q.Ross

can you combine a s/t with another player?

Washington would not move Daniels for that package.

We dont really have the types of contracts to get anything done. In a few months maybe.

regardless probably not worth sacrificing cap space.
