I really believe that it will be a big factor that Mike Miller is from South Dakota, and will hopefully help instill an attitude of "wanting to be in Minnesota" in the clubhouse. It got me wondering if there were other NBA player I hadn't thought of that would help this attitude. As I looked, I stumbled across this very fun little article"

This writer not only did the research but redesigned the NBA! Here's a few teams in the Midwest divison:
Minnesota/South Dakota
Mike Miller
Eric Piatkowski
Devean George
Kris Humphries
Joel Pryzbilla
Key reserve: Patrick O'Bryant
Wisconsin
Anthony Carter
Devin Harris
Coby Karl
Caron Butler
Carl Landry
Key reserves: Travis Diener, Steve Novak
Iowa
Kirk Hinrich
Kyle Korver
Ricky Davis
Nick Collison
Raef LaFrentz
Key reserves: Ryan Bowen, Adam Haluska
and with the exception of Davis, maybe some of these players would be happy here, perhaps playing in front of family and friends more often?

I think it's pretty close to meaningless.

Interesting lists... the only guys I'd really want off there are Butler (possibly the most underrated guy in the whole league) and Hinrich. Devin Harris is solid too, but who needs a Harris/Hinrich backcourt, right?

Really? That big awkward grin at the press conference about the SD kid being able to play for the team he liked as a kid, in a city that is the cultural mecca of the midwest doesn't lead you to believe he has an enthusiasm for MIN that will spill over in the locker room?
