does anyone what the plans are for pekovic? is he signed in a long term contract in europe or russia?

Hes currently signed for three years, but if im correct i believe he has a player option after the first two. he has told the twolves that he wants to play for them but has to wait for 2 years until he has his player option available.

as far as I know Russia is a part of Europe

even though it spans both Europe and Asia, I'm pretty sure Russia is a European country because the capital city Moscow is in Europe.

Russia is a European country. Russia is an Asian country. The two are not mutually exclusive.
