this dude is a good man! he is reaching out and helping a school and donating heart defibulators to kids who have heart problems. this man is a stand up guy and this should not go unnoticed. i just haw it on espn.com its the first thing you see when you click nba. this man is gonna help save lives and for that he gets all the respect in the world from me. nothing is more important then a persons life and he is helping to save them.

The guy posted a nice story about one of our players, no need to be a jerk.

wow 165,000 adults died from sudden cardiac arrest alone in one year not counting adolescents and teens... I knew the number was not small but that it would be this big is mind blowing.

but it is nice to read that there are some people out there trying to minimize that number. this story was touching.

Yeah they did a story about this during the season. That's part of why I like the guy so much. We need more role models and community volunteers in the NBA.

Glen Taylor really likes character guys. I wonder if this factored into his desire to bring back Gomes? I love the guy, but I worry about his longterm fit. Yesterday a guy on the tradeboard suggested looking at a Gomes-for-Sean Williams (NJN) swap, but I wonder if Taylor would trade good character for character risk, regardless of fit?

Here in Brasil a few years ago a soccer player called Serginho had cardiac problems and died during the game 'cause there was no defibulator in the stadium, the game was broadcasted live at the biggest TV channel here... what a sad thing to see...
