I think Randy will have more assists and points.

I'd be pretty happy with all of those numbers. I think Randy will have more assists. If Miller grabs near 6 boards a game, that will be fantastic. I think Love's numbers are inflated across the board there, too.

do they just make these numbers up? I can't imagine any scientific way of doing it

Surprised with the near double-double average by Love.

I also expect Foye to average more assists. He was coming back from injury and averaged 4.2, no way he only goes up .2 with Mike Miller and an Al Jefferson that isn't tripled.

I like those numbers, and I too feel like Randy and Rashad will both have very good years. I also think that Love will average slightly higher points....14-16 a game while rebounding slightly less...7-8 boards a game.

^^nahh I don't think Love will average 14-16 points a game. His predicted averages are a little high in my opinion. Everyone else seems just about right to me.

I was wondering the same thing.

I don't see how Love averages double digit points on this team as a rookie - he's not going to get 30 mpg as a rookie, remember.

I know Brewer, Foye, and McCants didn't play big minutes out of the gate, but they came in with far less rounded games and played positions with more quality (relatively) than Kevin McLove'n

I expect, and maybe even demand 30 mpg

Also Brewer was coming in behind Gomes and the utility player Jaric, Foye was coming in behind offseason acquisition Mike James and Marko Jaric, and McCants was trying to get time behind Jaric as well as Wally World and then Ricky Davis as soon as we dealt for him.

I dont see Love starting with 30 mpg, but halfway thru the season I see them throwing him more and more minutes. Love MIGHT average 10-11 pts, but thats about it.

I could see Foye inbetween 5 and 6 assists per game, it would be suprising to me if he got more than that( it would also be really good for the team). I see him more like 17 or 18 ppg.

I think thats about right for McCants, he could be the suprise of the team, since it is a contract year and he always has something to prove

Miller is about right, maybe a little more points

Jefferson will be above 20ppg without a doubt in my mind, the offense is built around him, less people to guard him now that Miller and Lover are here to spread the floor, means easier shots and higher percentages, hopefully he gets to the free throw line more

That's 88 pts a game coming from our top 6 players? That seems a little high. And 6 guys in double figure points? Again, that seems high. I'd love to see that kind of a balance, but no way. That's only 7 less a game than we averaged as a team last year. 7 points for Brewer, Telfair, Cookie, and Carney. Cookie and Telfair alone both averaged 9 a game last year.

They just all seem high.

^^^Good point, although I would hope the addition of Miller and Love and a healthy Foye would result in improved offensive numbers over a 22 win team. Somewhere near 100 ppg seems reasonable (and we will probably give up 105, lol).

Your numbers seem about right to me except I'd give Shad a few more. I think Gomes, Cookie, and Telfair are all going to decrease because of reduced playing time.

Even though Al's assist werent listed I think he will average 1-1.5 more apg this year. See his boards dipping too. Maybe to around 10.

88 is too high but you have to remember the average number of games played per player is roughly 76 per season. Adjusted ppg for those six guys would be about 81.6 pts a game which seems about right. Last year our top 6 scores (full season as a Timberwolve) were Jefferson 21.0, McCants 14.9, Gomes 12.6, Smith 9.4, Telfair 9.3 and Jaric 8.3 which equals 75.5 ppg. They actually contributed 5,773 throught the 82 game season for an average of 70.4 ppg. In total they missed 41 games due to injury etc for an average of 75+ games per player.

Either way you look at it our top guys should be averaging over 11 more points per game. We lost 33 games last year by 11 or less points. If we even win half of those 1-11 pt lost games we are at 39 - 40 wins this year. Adding Miller and Love to help Jefferson with the rebounding we could easily attain the 39-40 wins - BARRING major injury.
