They put David West, Aldridge and Smith over Big Al. Ok, look at their reason.

Al Jefferson, Minnesota: He's listed as a power forward in the Timberwolves' media guide, so that's good enough for us. Unfortunately, that's going to push him down this list because he needs to add another dimension to scoring and rebounding.

What?

Josh Smith

PPG: 17.2
RPG: 8.2

David West (Who also plays alongside the best PG in the NBA)

PPG: 20.6
RPG: 8.9

Lamarcus Aldridge

PPG: 17.8
RPG: 7.60

Al Jefferson

PPG: 21.0
RPG: 11.10

Funny because on the SG rankings, Foye is listed there "because he plays alongside Sebastian Telfair". What a joke.

http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/10996543 this list is even worse... I can't believe they honestly took Bynum, Gasol, Alridge, West, Josh Howard, Richard Hamilton, Josh Smith and Lamar FREAKING Odom ahead of Big Al. this is ridiculous.

I assume they mean he needs to add defense and/or passing to his game. What I don't get is how they can call Amare the most dominant big man in the game and say this about Al.

Jefferson vs. PHO last year:

30.5 ppg
15.3 rpg
1.0 apg
1.75 spg
1.0 bpg
50% fg

Amare vs. MN last year:

24 ppg
7.8 rpg
1.5 apg
0.75 spg
1.5 bpg
68% fg

Yea I think I misread it. I thought they were saying that he needs to boost his rebounding and socring to get higher on the list. Adding D makes more since.

Good point on the Amare thing though. Amare plays probably less D than Al does. Every big man has huge games against him.

That other list is stupid too. If they want to put Al that low, which I don't agree with, fine. But why do they admit that he should be higher? Then they blame the team? What? Are these team or player rankings? How about the fact that Al is the star of his team, does that not count for anything? Are they certain that Aldridge, Bynum, Josh Howard, David West, or a number of those guys would be doing as well if they were the best players on their team?

David West is awesome but I really doubt he would be putting up 22 and 12 if the team was just him and a bunch of lesser players.

That list sucks, like all the other lists that guy made. Big Al is the best offensive power forward in the league and isn't bad on D either.

This guy is lollerful

In the top 50 nbaplayers list

Mike Miller is 48th in the league, 15th in SF

"17. Andrew Bynum, L.A. Lakers: We go back to the initial question: Who would you rather have? Bynum was starting to show some scary potential last year before his injury. Offensively, he's well ahead of Dwight Howard."

Oden is already ranked the 27th best player in the league despite not having played, so as far as we know he is a taller Shelden Williams with a ugly mohawk/face

"39. Al Jefferson, Minnesota: Yes, he should be higher on this list, but he was held back because his team was so lousy. Jefferson scores and rebounds, but he also isn't much of a passer and turns the ball over too much." (2.0 per game)

The player right above him, Josh Smith averaged 3.0
Greg Oden averaged 2.0 in COLLEGE
Odom 2.0
David West 2.2
Boozer 2.6 the last two years / 2.1 career
Bosh 2.3 / 2.2 career
Kevin Garnett 1.9 / 2.5 career
Amare Stoudamire 2.2
Tim Duncan 2.3 / 2.8 career
Brand 2.1/ 2.5 career
Gasol 2.6 Career
LaMarcus Aldridge 1.7

These guys are really just pulling at straws to rank Al lower

http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nba/new ... ll-pre08-c
Yahoo rankings - Center - Al - 8th above Yao, Duncan, Bynum
http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nba/new ... l-pre08-pf
Yahoo rankings - Power forward - Al - 11th

Oh and http://fantasynews.sportsline.com/fanta ... l/rankings - 3rd among forwards

Look for Kevin Love at the bottom of these lists
