New court?

Post#1 » by Vega06 » Sun Sep 28, 2008 3:01 am

I remember reading somewhere that along with our new jerseys and new logo we would also be getting a new court. Does anyone know if thats legit? or will we have the same court with the new logos

I would guess so. I think the new logo would look weird on that court

They should put the secondary logo on the court, and use that same dark blue for the trim where the bench and stuff is.

It actually will be a brand new court, per an agreement with the building (if my sources are correct). And the parquet will be out - it'll be the new "two-toned" style.

Comcast (chicago station that I get in Iowa) just showed the bulls warming up and the court looked the same.

Workers are scheduled to install the Target Center’s new court on Tuesday. You’ll probably see some video of it on the Web or nightly news that night.

So far, it’s hushed in secrecy, but I’m hearing that the parquet look of the current court is out. Also, reportedly there’s no paint in the paint. I’m sure you’ll also see that new secondary “Wolf’s head” logo somewhere on there.

The free-throw lane is defined instead simply by lines rather than a solid block of painted wood and the area inside the three-point arc is stained slightly different than the rest of the court. The new look probably is something similar to the Phoenix Suns’ court.

not that I dislike it but I sure will miss the two-colored tree frame

plus the secondary logo itself is neat but IMO it looks misplaced on the court. especially with only one on each side of the floor... they could have done it better if you ask me.
