"Minnesota's patience is wearing thin with Corey Brewer. The Wolves are reportedly fielding offers for the multifaceted forward and are tempted to allow him to walk after this season."

...what?

Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize Foxsports.com uses Bleacher Report articles.

where are the referenced reports that lead the writer to use the word "reportedly"; I haven't heard any such thing

"..with the additions of Miller, Rodney Carney and Kirk Snyder..."

We did what, when? Huh? :-)

It pains me to see a "legit" "news" outlet quote trash like the Bleacher Report as a reputable source.

Wow -- thanks for pointing out its Bleacher Report .. I didn't realize it at the time. So now FoxSports is going to be getting their news from this kid? Scary. I assume it will be a RealGM article soon.

This is completely the wrong time to trade Corey Brewer, when people outside MIN are writing him off as a bust, and his trade value is in the toilet. The kid has potential and tools, and we have to find him minutes to see what we've got.

This can't be true. I mean, you don't "lose patience" with a 2nd year guy before the season even has begun, specifically when you drafted him in the lottery. He showed all the signs of being a decent player, just lacking a jump shot, something that can be developed. So why would they already be writing him off? That's just dumb.

exactly. it doesn't even make any sense to trade him now.

Maybe, maybe not. If the Wolves are convinced that Brewer isn't going to get better then now would be the best time to trade him; while other teams still perceive him as having potential.

Good point. I think an argument could be made either way. RIght now his value might be as high as it's going to get based on potential. Of course we'd also be selling low.

I'd say that that argument only works if someone else is proposing the deal, if the Wolves were to shop him then his potential will be seen as little to none because if he had much why would the team be willing to move him.

I think that's a good point too. I guess we don't know if his value can get even lower. I can tell you on the Trade Boards, he's seen as not much better than filler.

Isn't that the same thing we've been saying about Shad for 3 years now? I don't think there's going to be a right time to trade him, cus I really don't think he's ever going to be that good.

Peter Vescey doesn't even use the Bleacher Report as a source... and that says alot.
