I would rather have Miller over Redd even if they were getting paid the same. I think waiving both Miller/Cardinal and keeping the pick would be more beneficial to the Wolves in the next couple years compared to this trade.

While Redd is a talented player, I don't think he'd start playing defense with any more enthusiasm in Minnesota than he does in Milwaukee. His third year, a staggering $18.3 mil, is too expensive, and on the wrong side of the 2010 Free agency that MIN has worked so hard to make cap space for. Even if Miller was moved, both McCants and Foye are already +40% 3P shooters, so for the Wolves to be interested, you'd have to talk the Bucks out of Bogut. Finally, the Wolves can't trade their 2009 1st because it's top 10-protected for LAC, though they have several other 1sts they could include in the right deal.

It would be stupid to trade miller so soon.

Miller contributes more than Redd does.

Miller is a better rebounder
Miller can play the 3 and the 2, allowing flexability
Miller is a local, so actually wants to be here. This is huge for a team with limited fan support.

I would veto a Miller for Redd trade.

Bucks homer trade? They absolutely (*DUDE you cant say that*) everyone in the deal. Yeah, Cleveland wins on talent, but for the Bucks to drop their worst contract, bring in expirings, and 1st round picks, that's WAY too much.

Ray Allen was picked up for the 5th pick in the draft. Why is Michael Redd worth more?

This is TERRIBLE for Minnesota.
