Cardinal + McCants + Craig Smith for Gooden (exp) + Thabo + Cedric Simmons

This was mentioned by a good CHI poster in my quest to move Cardinal for expirings, and have max room for 2009 cap room flexibility. We could erase all those players in 2009, but I think we might as well give Simmons a look, and I've actually been intrigued by Thabo.

Thoughts?

I don't really see why Chicago would do this, they already have Gordon, Rose, and Hinrich at the guards, and Gooden is a lot better than Cookie, all in all i would love if the Wolves pulled this off. We get a couple young players and if Gooden is good for us than we can resign him, if not let him go.

That Chicago poster must be really high on McCants or Smith

Gordon is not gonna be around next year is probably the thinking of the poster. He accepted the 1 year QO and next year hopes to cash in. McCants would be a much easier re-sign for the Bulls. Craig Smith would work very well next to a guy like Noah who can play the big defender role we so dearly want here. I dont see why it would be so bad for Chicago its not like we are giving up crap and getting back gold in return

could be interesting, I've thought about Thabo/McCants swaps in the past, but came to the conclusion we need McCants as our only full offensive arsenal perimeter player

couldn't argue too much if it went down though considering we get Gooden and Thabo, 2 guys who could easily start for us
