Wolves at Chicago on CSNC DTV channel 665

Post#1 » by Cy32 » Wed Oct 15, 2008 1:06 am

I didn't see any thread that seemed to be talking about the game. If you can't get the game on TV you can listen to live audio on NBA Audio League PASS by registering.

With 1:15 left in the first quarter Chicago leads 28-11.

Go to the NBA web site for live box score.

See initial post in this thread. The game was on CSNC which is probably available in Chicago but was on channel 665 in DTV's Fox Sports package.

The Wolves won in spite of McCants incessant shooting when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Did he like throw down a ferocious dunk on them, or did you lay out some newspaper and pull down his shorts kind of shat on them?

Well, I'm from Minnesota but live in Chicago now so I follow both teams. Just got done watching them on TV. Wow. I'm impressed by the Wolves. First, Jefferson of course is a force in the middle, simply beautiful to watch. The shocker though was Brewer. Did McHale bombard him with Gamma rays this summer? From the games I watched last year he was hardly D-League worthy. Now he's harassing Deng all game and making things happen on D, and making offensive plays to boot, including making long jumpers with confidence? Wow.

Plus McCants showing his strong scoring ability. Someone on the Bull's game thread said, "When did McCants morph into Bonzi Wells?". Gomes just an all around solid player. Smith like a hammer striking the anvil. Love looked solid, getting it done down among the tall trees with boards and put backs.

A lot of things to be optimistic about as Wolves fans. I just might have to get the League Pass and follow the Wolves once again like I used to for so many years...

Great wrap up LB! Main things i took from the boxscore:

-Madsen starts again. Might as well get him some PT now i guess
-Brew was one board away from a double-double (15/9)
-Al Jefferson was Al Jefferson, but 4 ast!!! Thats fantastic
-Foye started next to Bassy again, with poor results. I just dont like that backcourt together.
-McCants seemed to be off, but cut his TO's and PF's way down (1 each)
-Carney hasnt really done much at all to impress me this pre season
-Ollie had 8/3/3. I really would prefer him over Ahearn. Seriously.
-Harrison got a DNP, cant really prove himself on the bench. Miller got 1 too.

I don't know if you saw the game, but the best think about Al's assists is that 3 of them came in the last few minutes and were extremely savy, pretty passes, after the Bulls were starting to bear down. Al was basically put back in to secure the game and he did so big time. A couple were over the shoulder passes to cutters for easy baskets. Passes like that give me hope that he will develop into a truly complete player.

I'm guessing he's referring to the play at 1:30 on the highlights

It's great to see Brewer is stepping up his game, hopefully this carries over to the regular season. God Al's post moves are so sick, especially that one in the highlights.

I saw Craig Smith's dunk, it was on SportsCenter's top 10 plays. #6 I think.
