Sounds like he'll be a RFA next offseason. Yes he's short, but I think he'd help form a formidable frontline rotation.
Thoughts? Sounds like he turned down a 3 year 15 million dollar offer.

he has a very similar style to Craig Smith, I dont think they are very far apart and we've resigned Craig for way less than Maxiell turned down, so i guess the wolves wont be interested in him unless he have a monster season this upcoming season.
The wolves will have some decent capspace next year, they shouldnt target Maxiell as their target of priority

Man, you want to dump Craiggers on the first doorstep with a doorbell and space for a basket but you want to trade for Maxiell?

I agree that him and Maxiell are alike, except I like JMax's hustle & energy a lot more than I do with Craig. Plus Max can occasionally go on and get you blocks, and is a better defender(Not saying much)

Max is on defense what Craig is on offense. If the two merged into one, look out.

I like Maxiell quite a bit; he's built like Craig Smith, but he plays like Tyrus Thomas. He'd probably be a better fit than Craig, but I don't think they're much different in overall talent, and for the 2.5 - 3x Craig Smith's salary that he seems to be looking for, it probably wouldn't be worth it.

For the kind of money that he wants, I would probably pass. But, if we were willing to pay a PF type of player 5 or 6 million a year, I don't know if I would go for Maxiell, Milsap, or Bass.

Maxiell does absolutely nothing for me. Short power forwards that hustle are a dime a dozen every year in the draft. Also, for the salary he wants, he doesn't do that much more than Craig Smith to open up the checkbook.
Pass.
