I think the FO wants to see what he is all about and if we will have room amongst our current swingmen to keep him on. Foye and Brew were both handpicked by us thats why they got their extensions, sorta like with Snyder last year.

he'll get his chance. I think he's the best fit with Love at any rate, because he can get out and run on those outlets

Admittedly though, I have not been impressed with Carney in the half court. I know it isn't his forte, but it has looked ugly more times than not. He is athletic, but with lacking ball skills which hampers his ability to create his own shot unless he is able to blow by the defender and get to the basket (I do remember one sweet finger roll/scoop shot on a drive in pre-season).

He just needs to keep working on his offense within the system with back cuts and the like, and continue to work hard on defense. I don't see him replacing Brewer in the minds of the FO or fans though in regards to fit and playing time. A nice complimentary piece, but I can't see him as a regular starter, simply a rotation guy a best.

yea, he's not great in the half court because he has a little bit of Gerald Green in him where he can either shoot a 3 or fly in the open court, but any sort of dribble drive move leads to bloopers

but he plays better defense than GG, so that gets him court time
