LAC offer - Kaman + Gordon

Post#1 » by shrink » Mon Nov 3, 2008 2:26 pm

I thought this trade post would be a good one to bring over, and a fun discussion:

no thanks, 10 for 32 shooting and 11/11 in 37 minutes per game? Love can do better than that and he's only 20.

too big for either team to do, but I would say no anyway. Best player in this is miller.

that's interesting because I'd say Miller is the worst player in this

Best player is Love

it's close though, everybody has their pros and cons

To me...
Kaman = expiring + pick in the 4-15 range
Miller = expiring + pick in the 8-18 range

There is some value difference, but it isn't gigantic. These guys aren't allstars for god sakes.

Throwing in the young picks which teams\fans value drasticly differently doesn't fit here.

Kaman for Miller + x(bos or utah pick, or moved protection to top 3)

or

Kaman for Collins + Carney + comlete protection removal(risky!!)

Kaman
Al
Miller
McCants
Foye

Interesting....

If we go back in time four months, this is essentially OJ Mayo for Kaman AND Gordon. Back then, I think all of us would have done that trade.

Is there anyway to give up maybe McCants and a pick instead of Miller? McCants and Gordon and Foye would just be too much.

I'd do it, but I doubt that LAC would. I like Love and Miller a lot and am happy to have them on the team. However, Kaman is a legitimate C that would fit nicely next to Jefferson, where Love plays Jefferson's best position and we still need a legitimate C. I probably like Gordon more than most and think he's actually got the potential to be a #2. I also think it balances out the glut at SF and allows Gomes to be a great combo F off the bench.

Wow. Just wow. Did Kaman lose an arm or something? I'd almost say this deal is so idiot-proof even McFail couldn't turn it down.

Love is a more making sense solution for the Wolves provided that Kaman only has 2 more prime years and Love will be a solid player pair with priming Jefferson.

if we could get kaman for carney and unprotecting the pick and maybe another late round pick. I would love it.

I like miller and would not move him.

devil...did the test results come back? is love gaining water weight from having ur baby?

Ha...seems like you need to convince urself. Ironic that you make that statement in a thread where we are discussing you stalking Kevin love and him having your baby.

btw..

I see no reason for Minnesota to move Love or Miller for a player like kaman. He is a 3rd option low eff post player.

if MN wants Kaman how about kaman for Madsen, Collins, Carney+ taking the protection off the draft pick we owe. What this would do is clear up cap for LAC very fast. Collins+carney are both expiring, and Madsen has 1 yr left at a small amount. They also get the MN pick this year.

I'd trade Miller for Kaman in a second. I'd even throw in a first or two.

there's not enough minutes for Love, Jefferson, and Kaman; I can't see any reason to trade for Kaman other than to blind the other team with our whiteness
