Minnesota/Chicago/Memphis: ConleyJr/Foye/McCants/SwissArmy

MN outgoing:
Foye/McCants/Booth
Incoming:
Conley Jr/Sefolosha/Aaron Gray
Chicago Outgoing:
Gray/Sefolosha
Incoming:
McCants/Booth
Memphis Outgoing:
Conley Jr.
Incoming:
Foye
Foye grew up in a perimeter oriented Villanova system, now he's on a team where he's expected to set up a dominant big man all game. Conley jr. grew up in an Ohio St system where he's expected to set up a dominant big man, now he's in a perimeter oriented system. It could benefit both players to get back to their roots and trade places.
Chicago gets a more reliable perimeter shooter.
All in all MN trades scoring punch for defense, speed, and playmaking. If we can't get a #1 option on the perimeter, then I think the next best thing is to surround Jefferson and Love with guys who are more pass and defense oriented.

I've been trying to come up with a reason to say no to this but I haven't succeeded yet. I like getting a true PG. Thabo seems a little redundant with Brewer but, meh.
Foye-Mayo-Gay would be a fun trio to watch.
I'd probably do it. Would the other teams?

Chicago fans are hit and miss with Thabo. Some love his potential, some think Skiles ruined him, some think hes worthless. More the former than the latter. Im pretty sure they are super high on Gray tho and with Ben Gordon already there, i dont see alot of reason they would take a McCants/Booth package. As for Memphis, Im sure they want to see what Conley can do for them before giving up on him.
Your theory may in fact be correct devilz, so i commend you for that. Im just not sure teams would be so willing to give up on their players.

Foye Mayo Gay is sick
I'd probably cut out the CHI part though
I'm on the fence, I honestly think Foye will end up the better player, but could see the value in a true 1 for MN.

^Sefoloshay?
I would love to have Thabo and Conley on the Wolves. I would rather keep Foye and see Miller be sent to the Bulls and the Hinrich to the Grizzlies. Miller would still be near home. Wolves get a true pg and a capable defender to team up with Jefferson/Love. The Grizzlies would put Hinrich next to Mayo and the two of them could handle the ball handling duties while both playing good D.
Wolves get Conley/Darko Grizzlies get Hinrich/McCants Bulls get Miller
Conley/Foye/Brewer/Love/Jefferson
Hinrich/Mayo/Gay/Warrick/Gasol
Rose/Miller/Deng/Thomas/Noah

I'd like to say yes to the Conley-Foye deal as Foye has been underwhelming, but maybe he'll get in a groove soon.

Conley's been just as underwhelming so far, especially for a top five pick.

Hadn't really paid attention to his season stats this year, but I just checked them and you're right. Pretty unimpressive so far. I remember his hype, though.

Conley reminds me too much of Telfair. He's a little too skinny/weak and he doesn't have much of a jumpshot. At least Telfair already knows our system.

Conley just turned 21 3 weeks ago, Telfair is 23, Foye 25.
And Conley has major athleticism. I'd say Derrick Rose is the #1 athlete at PG, and don't tell anyone, but I think Conley Jr is #2.

Think we would be a bit optimistic to get that return for what we send out. I imagine league-wide, Connely still has a bit more value than Foye.

It seems Minny is raping the other teams here making out like bandits. And to be frank, I don't think McHale could pull this off in his wettest of dreams.
Gray has been very good for Chicago and I think they may be able to get more for Sefo.

I wouldn't say anybody is raping anyone, everybody involved is a young player that's accomplished little to nothing. Saying one player is significantly more valuable than another is opinion and a matter of personal tastes. If Aaron Gray is a deal breaker, I'd have no problem taking him out. I'm not in love with him by any stretch of the imagination, Randy Foye stuffed his dunk attempt when they played, so he's not exactly the picture image of the enforcer we're looking for anyways.

I am a Memphis fan and I would do Foye for Conley but I am big Foye believer.

The intent makes sense. I'm not sure if another guard is what Chicago needs with Heinrich, Hughes, Rose, Gordon, and even Deng. Thabo is a mercurial player for Chicago, seems like they love him then hate him. Not sure if Chicago would do it, but if Gray is a dealbreaker I'd gladly leave him out.

trade works with the Booth/Gray part removed, and it also works if you wanted to add Gomes to Memphis' side
for Chicago it adds another guard, but if they can draw out his high points out of him, then he'd add a different dimension to their offense than the other guys can provide.

Call me nuts, but I think Foye can be the real deal. I want to give him the season. If the learning curve does not improve then we do something this summer. But the kid is healthy and can be effective.
