Roy vs. Foye?

Sigh...Roy...what could have been. I think it's finally official now. The debate is over. Foye will never be 1/2 of the player that Roy is in this league. Roy is calm and confident out there. Foye plays scared and just talks a big game. One of the worst trades in McHale's tenure. Maybe even the worst.

Portland is damn good for such a young team. They slept through the entire first half and still ended up winning the game.

Umm...we know roy will be a better player than foye. We have already said this numerous times. But for you to come in here and just bash on foye like that is completely uncalled for. I can guarantee you foye is a better than how he's playing right now. We have this coach named Randy Wittman who is obviously holding our team back. He's trying to force foye to be the type of player he's not. Oh, and if you want to talk up about portland don't do it on the timberwolves board.

Yup...

Foye will never average above 13 points. Mark my words.

Now it's about time we start regreting getting Miller and Love. OJ Mayo rookie of the year!

Also don't blame Witman. If Foye is better than you sayhe is, the coach would let him do as he pleases.

of course Roy is better, it's not even worth making a thread over

And no use crying about us trading him away. We would have screwed him up anyway. Roy would be averaging like 15 points 2 assist and wouldn't be nearly as confident as he is now. We'd probably having him playing SF too, trying to turn him into the next Shane Battier and make him a defensive stopper.

who knows, we could have kept KG too if we kept Roy in an attempt to win a championship with Davis, Blount, James, and Hassell

This is a ridiculous statement.

Im sorry I dont mean to criticize you or anything, but every comment you make about this team is so negative im not even sure if you really watch the team or if you are actually still hurt about OJ Mayo getting dealt away. It seems like blind hate to me. If you'd watch a game you can see how much of an negative impact Witt is having on this team.

As for Roy vs. Foye there was a thread made not even a week ago talking about this exact same thing. We really dont need another one. We knew Roy would be better, but he sent Foye with a knife into a gun fight. We havent been able to tap into his potential as we should. Kid is a baller though.

I don't know...Seeing Mayo do so well in Memphis is outstanding. As for me not watching the team, I'll leave that for you to decide, since you've come up with a conclusion. LOL

Wittman may not be the best coach, but Foye isn't the best player. We just have a bad team, deal with it.

Haha, "deal with it" coming from the guy that bashes this team at every available opportunity. I know are team has problems, this isnt news. But any fan who actually watches this team can see our players are not performing up to their full capabilities.

Consider them marked. It was obvious Roy was better than Foye a while ago, but this is hyperbole. Foye will average more than 13 ppg in his career, probably this year. He may not do it efficiently. He may not do well in other aspects of the game. But he'll find his shot.

Yup. 16.3 and rising. Should I really resurrect a thread to rub it when the guy has 162 posts? Probably not.

I think he's at 16.6 after his 36 point performance...it's still a cold hard fact that Roy is better, though

If only Foye could finish and get to the line. Easy 20 PPG scorer then.

roy is better at the moment, without a doubt

but Foye looks like he has a chance to become a 20 ppg scorer and a great compliment to Al jefferson, and really thats what we want. so its not like we lost the trade. we just.......... didnt win.

no we lost the trade.

Roy is an all star and a dynamic player.

Foye is a solid player, a nba starter but not in Roys league. But i can live with it.

it's fascinating how much people have talked about this supposedly disastrous trade, while the historic disaster that is Greg Oden over Kevin Durant is barely spoken about. Too many people with egg on their face, I guess.
