The wolves should trade gomes/mccants/miller for deng/gordon. \
after JAN 1st because of the trade resrictions
i think this would be good for the wolves because they get to scoring threats in the deal and plus they finally get a really solid small foward that we can have for many years. Plus ben gordon can be that second go to scorer and big al can be that go to scorer. Plus if we didn't want gordon we can just release him at the end of the season or sign him. also the wolves get rid of some of their players in Gomes and mccants.
Why for the bulls.
they get rid of gordon who wants to leave the team and they get rid of a big contract in deng in which they don't really want to pay. Also they probabley don't want deng taking up all of that cap space and hes not the player the bulls want to surrond derrick rose with.

Gomes isn't junk... he's a consistent professional and would be a 7th-8th man type on a contending team.
I'd say no to this deal. Deng is an upgrade over Gomes, but Gordon has no value to the Wolves because if he wouldn't resign with the Bulls for $50 million, what would the Wolves have to pay? Plus Miller should be a Wolf for the long-term.
I'd counter with a simpler deal - Gomes/filler for Deng. Gomes combo-forward skills are a better fit with Rose, and the Wolves have plenty of young players and expiring contracts to send to Chicago to round out a deal for Deng.

Sounds like a great deal for the Wolves, but I highly doubt Chicago would be interested.

I have no interest in Gordon, he's an undersized scorer who is a defensive liability. Slightly better than Arenas as a team player I suppose, but neither really helps a team.

Regardless of whether the Wolves are interested, Chicago is not.

I wouldn't do this deal for the Wolves.
Deng is young, but he's on a big contract that runs through 2014 now, and Ben Gordon can just walk after this season. Deng is only averaging 13-and-5.

Yeah, not a fan of this trade. I heard some rumors of a Mad Dog for LeBron deal too, don't like that one either.

I'd do it for the upside in Deng alone. He regressed last year and hasn't been great this year, but I think he could be the player we need as a compliment to Al. I like Gordon a lot more than most.
