Would you trade Foye for Jeff Green?

You guys probably see both guys more than I do so I wanted to know your thoughts about the two players.. You can apply it to your current team or to GM a Team team, either one is fine but I'm more interested in the talent/comparison between the two.

My GM a Team team (I would move Pietrus to SG and Green would back up/start at SF):

Augustin/ Telfair/ Tinsley
JR Smith/Foye/ Jones
Deng/Pietrus/ Ager
Love/ Smith/Cook/Brown
Jefferson/ Brown/

Value might be there, but I don't see how Green adds to this team from a fit perspective. I like him better at 4 and this team has too many PF's already.

I would. Green has improved his game this year. 14 points and 6 boards in 35 minutes isn't too shabby. He's also shooting 45% from long range.

Plus, if the draft next year is deep at one position, it's PG. With four first rounders one would think we would be guaranteed one of Rubio (if he declares), Evans, Lawson, Collins, or Jennings.

I'd also do a Love/Cardinal for Wilcox (Exp.)/Green trade.

I'm curious as to why you like him better at the 4. To me he's a rather prototypical 3.

I agree i actually dislike him at the 4.

But no, i wouldnt do it. This would leave us with Telfair/Ollie at the PG for the rest of the year. Even if we do get one in the draft, im just not liking the deal.

Value is there though.

When the Wolves played the Thunder Green played the 4 and they talked about how much better he had been playing since switching from 3 to 4. I would rather have Foye.

I wouldn't do it, since Foye has been averaging about 18 a game for the last eight or so. I think his value will continue to rise throughout the season. I like that Love/Cardinal for Green/Wilcox though, assuming we keep Wilcox on board.

Foye
Miller
Green
Wilcox
Jefferson

Much more competitive than what we are currently putting out there, although Love has more potential.

Any thoughts about applying it to the team i built.. I would still have Augustin/Telfair/ Tinsley at PG so i should be ok there. Deng hasn't been playing all that well and has been injured so i get insurance there.. what do you guys think

Not that it would happen but what about a Jefferson/Durant swap?

Jefferson/McCants/Telfair for Durant/Watson/Sene How far off is that?

I would do it, in fact Green was the guy I wanted the most that year in the draft. Problem is, OKC wouldn't do it simply because Green is better than Foye and they already have Westbrook.

I would do that Durant swap. Durant's potential is off the charts. Once he adds weight to that frame, he's gonna be scary. He's a 6'10 shooting guard right now.

The problem with Big Al is that he doesn't make the players around him better. Yeah he's got a great post game, but he's terrible on defense which makes him more of a Zach Randolph (loser) type player than a Tim Duncan (winner) type player.

Seattle fan here. Jeff Green is a tweener and they are still figuring out where he fits best. Foye for Green is okay in terms of value but that leaves your team with a big void at the point. If you could trade for a pointguard such as a Sergio Rodriquez or JJ Barea then that's fine.

But if you don't, let Telfair run things until the draft, and go into the draft absolutely needing to pick a pointguard you've taken yourself out of any options at the draft. As it sits you guys could be in a position to take a James Harden, Hasheem Thabeet, or if you drop down a little the Aminu guy from Wake Forrest. And then there's Mullens as well, and Derozen as well if he gets it together. All those players can help. If Rubio doesn't declare what are your options if you're in the top 3 picks? Kind of a waste as far as I see it.

Don't paint yourself into a box already.

I would do it. For my personal hatred, for Randy Foye, and for the guy I wanted back in 07 until the seattle/boston trade, Jeff Green, it'd be a win win situation.

We'd have to do no more Foye/Roy comparisons, and the team would actually get better without the idiot running point

I wouldn't do it, just for the fact that we have nothing at PG and Green isn't the positional improvement we need. If he could play C or G then maybe, but we don't need another combo forward.

Do I wish we got him instead of Brewer? Yes, but that applies to Green, Thorton, Thad Young, and everyone else I liked better than Brewer.
