Something big about to happen?

Usually chatty owner Glen Taylor, clearly unhappy, turned me down in a hallway afterward when I asked to talk him, surely knowing I wanted to ask if he planned any management changes. In the team’s locker room, you could look back into the training room and see Kevin McHale hugging both Al Jefferson and Randy Foye, an odd sight indeed.
You’ve got to believe something’s going to happen, probably with coach Randy Wittman, but who knows?…And perhaps as early as Sunday, or Monday, when the team resumes practice, at the latest. The right thing to do if they decide to fire him and still keep McHale is to make McHale coach this group. Asking, say, Jerry Sichting or Fred Hoiberg to do so is the ultimate cop-out.

Yeah, I interpret that as McHale is on the way out.

it better be the case that McHale is fired unless we get a clear cut superstar in return for Big Al and/or Foye which won't happen though. so please let it be the former. please.
but I'm kind of excited to see something big about to happen. let's just pray it won't be a bad transaction because I wouldn't be surprised at all as of now.

I don't think we would make such a drastic move as trading Al or Foye. After management gleaming about how they love our youth and will give it time to develop I wouldn't think they'd try something like this. I hope Mchale gets the axe with Freddy taking his place and Wittman bites it as well. When it comes to head coach I think we need new blood not just letting someone from within take over unless we really think we can trust one of them with the job. Let's hope something gets done.

yes I want some new guys as our coaching staff as well. I mean last year when Sichting (typo?) was our interim coach he did a nice job having a set roation but I don't or rather can't believe they wouldn't have tried to change something already.

Couldn't it be just a hug???
It wont be a trade of Al & Foye. Maybe we'll get lucky and it is McHale deciding to
step down. I don't want Hoiberg in charge either. They need an all new cast at this point,
just like Heros.

McHale could have went on the road trip to say goodbye. Jefferson and Foye were his biggest gambles -- one worked out, and the other did not.

There's nothing wrong with a couple of men hugging it out.
I'm guessing he just had a heart to heart with his two stars. Asked them about the direction of the team, what they thought its problems were, etc. Then they hugged it out afterwards.
Despite McHale's ineptitude, I see no benefit of him stepping down for the Mayor. I dread the Fred Hoiberg era. DREAD IT.

I'm guessing McHale told them Wittman is going to get fired and they felt responsible. Besides those Cosby sweaters do look rather comfy. Who wouldn't want a hug?

it does make u wonder. I would bet it is just that the team is taking the loss hard and he is comforting them. mchale might not be the best gm but he is a realy nice guy and I could see him being someone the team enjoys.
