Sixers lose 2 starters. Portland loses a young PG and a BIG expiring.
Its not far off, i think Collins instead of Cardinal makes it easier to swallow.

Williams/Iggy/Miller/Brand/Dalembert
The Sixers would be able to replace those two starters with players that are better at scoring so Iggy can focus on defense.
I thought about Collins in place of Cardinal but then it is just Andre Miller for Rodriguez and that favors Portland too much. I don't know what the medium would be considering the Blazers don't need any picks with all the young players they already have.

I'd be in favor of it.

There is no way whatsoever that the Sixers trade Thad. He has a chance to be something very special.

Yeah, wouldn't happen. Still nice to think about, though.

Would you prefer Mike Miller for Andre Iguodala? This was recommended on the trade board without the typical "No our guy is great!" responses, and over on the Philly board, there's a four-page thread called "Iguodala is stealing money - worst contract ever?"

Many have come to the conclusion Iggy is a good #2 guy, but he's got a contract like a #1.
2008-09 $11,300,000
2009-10 $12,200,000
2010-11 $12,345,250
2011-12 $13,531,750
2012-13 $14,718,250
2013-14 $15,904,750

Re: Wolves/Sixers/Blazers
Incidentally, I know the Philly fans love Thad, but I don't think B Calrissian's trade is as impossible as other posters have said. Philadelphia invested heavily in this season, and had two five year deals, a six year deal, and three three's. They paid their guys big contracts, and brought in Elton Brand to be a contender, and their current mix just isn't doing that. Moreover, Mike Miller is the perfect fit there. Philadelphia was dead last in 3-point percentage last season, and the addition of Brand makes that need even greater.
Philadelphia is 9-12, and they need to make a decision fast. They have nice youth (Thad, Speights, Jason Smith), but they are locked for years into a group of starters that are doing nothing. I agree that losing Thaddeus Young would be painful, but considering how far they've gone down the win-now path financially, its something their front office would have to look at.

Despite the contract, I'd be all over a trade like that. I think he'd be a great #2 for us. Not sure what else we'd need to include, but yeah I would. I think he could play 2 or 3 for us and give Al someone reliable to knock down jumpers when he's doubleteamed.

are we still talking about Iguodala?
I used to think he'd be good for us, but the wrath of 76ers fans when talking about him gave me a change of heart. Plus he's best at SF, but I don't want a 6'5, 6'6 guy at SF when SFs are getting so beastly these days

Re: Wolves/Sixers/Blazers
Sixers get raped in this deal by the way.
As far as Igoudala, he would be a nice fit next to Miller, but not at that price. Trading Miller for him makes it completely asinine. I think Igoudala succeeds when he's in a less structured offense. I think he's destined to be Lebron's side kick someday either in NY or Cleveland.

Re: Wolves/Sixers/Blazers
I don't think the Blazers trade Rodriguez, and I don't think the Sixers deal Thad for what they get in return. Miller is probably going to be moved, and Sam has become an enigma in Philly...those would be the expendable pieces (one would think). Thad, Speights, Smith, Williams are all young pieces the Sixers covet, so it probably would take a bit more to get them. It would be interesting if you put Foye in place of Telfair, or sent Webster from Portland to Philly...then the deal may make more sense when including Thad. That being said, I don't think Thad is going anywhere.

Plus the wolves would lose to much team intelligence with cardinal and miller traded away
