MINNESOTA
IN
JOAKIM NOAH 2.3 as a center - rebounding and much more active than Collins
THABO SEFOLOSHA 1.9 has had many ups and downs - maybe new setting would help
LARRY HUGHES 12.8 Much better than McCants would eat into our 2009 FA signings

Out
JASON COLLINS 6.2 We get something for now since we won't in February.
RASHAD McCANTS 2.6 Had one good shooting night last night - won't happen again this week
RYAN GOMES 3.5 Hate to lose him but not quick enough to guard the 3's
CALVIN BOOTH 1.1
Lottery protected 1st rnd pick + another future pick (possibly a second rd)

CHICAGO
IN

KELENNA AZUBUIKE 2.9
MARCO BELINELLI 1.5
COREY MAGETTE 8.3
JASON COLLINS 6.2 They can use as trade bait if they are making a playoff push.
BRANDON WRIGHT 2.5
RYAN GOMES 3.5
CALVIN BOOTH 1.1 Would most likely let him go immediately
2nd ROUND PICK

Out
LARRY HUGHES 12.8
JOAKIM NOAH 2.3
THABO SEFOLOSHA 1.9
TYRUS THOMAS 3.8
LUOL DENG 9.4

GOLDEN STATE
IN

TYRUS THOMAS 3.8
RASHAD McCANTS 2.6
LUOL DENG 9.4
Lottery protected 1st rnd pick

Out
KELENNA AZUBUIKE 2.9
MARCO BELINELLI 1.5
BRANDON WRIGHT 2.5
COREY MAGETTE 8.3

This makes room for Monta on their crowded roster and gives them time to see if Thomas and McCants are a part of their future.

you have MN and Chi giving up 1sts, but nobody has them on their incoming

also GS needs quite a bit more to consider giving up Wright and Belinelli, maybe you can work in a Deng/Maggette swap

For the Wolves, the fit is there, but add one or two first round picks seems to me to be over-paying

Noah's been awful this season for CHI, Larry Hughes is clearly over-priced at $13 mil a year for two years, and Sefalosha is just a prospect at this point. Its quite possible that Jason Collins big expiring has more trade value than any of those three, and Gomes on his new deal, probably also has more trade value.

Do we want to pay Larry Hughes $13.65 mil next year, plus $5 mil more for the other two, or would we rather just pay Gomes $4? I'm not sure that's a $16 mil upgrade, but I would definitely resist adding picks.

Edited to include your correction and suggestion.

Thanks

Honestly I think it's terrible for the Wolves, even if we're not giving up the picks, but adding the picks in makes it worse. I'd rather let Collins/McCants expire, keep Gomes on his lovely deal, keep the picks, and have room to sign someone and draft someone better than Hughes/Noah, which won't be tough.

Bad deal for Wolves.
