Love for Horford swap

Wolves out K. Love & Collins(expiring) 2009 Boston pick & future Utah pick
in Horford & Zaza(expiring)

Bulls out Ty Thomas & 2009 1rd pick
in K. Love

Clippers out Kaman
in Ty Thomas & Collins(expiring) plus picks from bulls, celtics and jazz

Hawks out Horford & Zaza
in Kaman

Wolves swap Love for Horford, both guys have similar upside, but horford fits next to jefferson much better, he can defend both PF & C positions, still is a good rebounder and has a nice mid range jumper. 2 late picks is not a big price to pay.

bulls are shopping Thomas, they have to include their pick to get a guy like k-love.

Clippers : Kaman makes too much money to be a back up to Randolph & Camby, so getting cap relief (Collins) plus a young prospect and 3 1st round picks is a good return.

Hawks get a legit Center who can score in the low post and gives size to their front line, their current line of Horford( PF/C combo) and Smith(PF/SF tweener) is just to small to be effective neither of them is good scorer down low.

way too complicated to happen. also I do not see horford as different then lateral for love.

I think I might do the Wolves side (not sure about two 1sts), and we'd only be losing one year of cheap rookie contract exchanging Love for Horford. Zaza > Collins this year too, so Al can play more PF.

Seems like decent value all around. I'm not sure Atlanta would bite. I'd probably do it for Minny.

I would trade love for Horford any day of the week and twice on tuesdays. That being said their is no way that atalnata does this deal. Horford has way more value than kahman even to a team that needs a real center.

What about an updated version?

Wolves out K. Love & Collins(expiring)
in Horford & Claxton

Bulls out Ty Thomas & 2009 1rd pick
in K. Love

Clippers out Kaman
in Ty Thomas & Collins(expiring) 2009 Bulls pick

Hawks out Horford & Claxton
in Kaman

Instead of servicable expiring in Zaza Hawks lose the dead weight of Claxton's contract which gives them more cap space this offseason, Wolves take on some salary but keep their picks.

Doesn't change the fact that Atlanta gets shafted and LAC gets too much value for Kaman. That's the real problem with this deal, and it doesn't seem salvageable.

I like the new deal better. I'd have to double-check cap holds, but I think moving Speedy's two-year deal allows ATL to get far enough under the cap to make a max deal offer, while still being able to do something with Marvin Williams. Its definitely an improvement for ATL.

I wouldn't be a big fan of this deal if I were Atlanta or LA.

Wouldn't the Bulls just cut the other two teams out and trade Tyrus and filler for Kaman?

I am interested in seeing love get stronger and improve athletic ability. I would not move him for horford. I do not believe in giving up on rookies early

More important, the man who loves Love will never trade him. Not to mention it would be a total PR nightmare, especially with Mayo coming to town soon.

That would be almost as bad of a PR nightmare as bringing Flip back.

don't much like the idea because Love will probably be a 23/14 the instant we traded him, but the interior defensive presence potential is probably too intriguing to pass up

Can't wait for Mayo and his "This is what you get for trading me" game that night. I expect 30/6/4 on 45%+ shooting

Im both a homer and a realist. A homer for now. I agree here and think the Wolves will $hit on Memphis.

Its the last game before we would set a franchise losing streak record, and its the first game off of what may be the most ridiculous set of games in terms of difficulty I have ever seen in a schedule. I strongly believe Memphis will look like a community college team playing the Celtics that game.

I'm hoping for this so too. All the media can interview coach McHale after the game and have him lament our teams inability to contain OJ (along with Gay.) I'm hoping McHale sets the record for most consecutive losses to start a coaching stint (whatever that total is.)
