Telfair/Smith/Collins
for
Felton/May/Morrison

hate losing smith, but I really want Felton. He'd give us more options in the draft as far as not having to look at PG. May is talented, if he continues to improve conditioning, he can contribute. Bigger than Craig Smith and is an undersized center vs Smith being undersized PF. If Morrison wakes up, maybe he can contribute some much needed scoring.

Charlotte gets Telfair instead of losing Felton for nothing, and is a proper backup for DJ. Craig Smith is a good player whereas May doesn't play under LB. Morrison is way down on the pecking order.

I actually like this trade a lot. All of the guys coming in are relatively young and don't exactly break the bank. Like you said, this trade would give us a ton of versatility in the draft. Felton is an upgrade over Telly....and I've always like Morrison. I never thought he was really a top 10 draftee....but I like some of the things he can do. And while May isn't an upgrade in talent over Smith, he does give us a lot more size if he can ever get some burn. Not sure on these contracts of May and Morrison, but we should have enough time to evalute whether we need to keep them around. If we did this, we can target other positions and players to draft. I think if we drafted Harden and Collison with ours and the Miami pick...which are the guys I want....does that really leave room for Foye? Because I would start Felton, Harden, MM, Love, and AJ next year with a bench of Collison, Brewer, Foye, and Gomes. I would like to move Foye, the Boston first, and a filler for a big. Kaman and Sammy D would be at the top of my list. Then it could be Felton, Harden, MM, AJ, and Sammy D with a solid young bench.

I'd probably do this. We get rid of the longterm commitment with Smith and Telfair and get our guy in Felton. I see Morrison and May as filler, we can just let their rookie contracts run out. It's debatable whether or not Charlotte would do this though.

good trade devil. not sure if char does it but I like it. may and morrison improve the bench and felton could be interesting next to foye.

where does morrison fit with gomes and brewer? are felton and foye a good combo?

Felton and Foye would be alright...even though they are almost identical physically. I think if we take Harden with our first....that should or at least eventually knock Foye out of the starting lineup. I just think Harden has more of an all around game than Foye. That's why if we did do this trade, I would like to make a draft day deal involving Foye to either get an athletic wing or defensive center....either with a draft pick or an established player. I think moving Foye towards Philly for something with Dalembert would be something we should pursue.

digital hates him some Foye.

Felton is an attack the basket type of guard as opposed to Foye's shooting abilities. From what I have seen, Felton is a weak shooter. He is even more inconsistent overall than Foye is. Plus he is smaller. He is a better passer though and can set up his guys nicely. I dont think he is a PG of the future kind of player, but a combo off the bench.

I feel like Felton and Foye battle it out for starter duties, the other guy gets 6th man duties. May and Morrison get a chance to prove themselves, nothing more. If by some miracle Morrison looks good, that gives us more options in moving Miller.

Also there's no guarantee we get Harden, Felton gives us a contingency plan as a reasonable starter. Otherwise we might be starting Ollie again...not that he hasn't been good, but Ollie strikes me as a hot blackjack table - I can't imagine him maintaining his play

Agree. I think Morrison could be a decent spot up shooter off the bench for us, which isn't great for how high he was picked, but still useful. A taller Korver. Would definitely do this deal.

we should be trading for wallace, not felton, in my opinion. we need energy and defense on the perimeter.
