i like Randolph's game, just not sure where he would fit in here. he would help out from a length and athleticism standpoint.

I would dangle an exp and the uta pick. I likely would move a small contract and the mia pick. I was very, very high on Randolph pre-draft (as many here remember) The kid could be big time and I think we should take the chance on him.

I'd have all the picks sans the MN pick, and anything outside of Foye/Jefferson/Love on the table
Pekovic, picks, Mike Miller, expirings, you name it
what I would not do is take back a long contract

Randolph was 5th on my draft board! beasly\rose\mayo\love_lopez\Randolph
Unfortunately, there's nothing that will get it done. MIA pick + Miller is certainly fair value, but theres no contracts to make it work. Warriors contracts are to long and Big to make anything work.

McCants+mia+utah for randolph + Williams

I love the idea of Randolph. I think that a player like him is the key to making the love jefferson frontcourt work on defense. A long, athletic 3 that can provide weak side help would be perfect. If it were possible, make it happen!

We would need to waive someone for roster numbers.
Bman,
Randolph helps on that defense, but he also is a possible pt fwd that would help Foye on offense.

True,
I like Randolph's offensive game as well. I think that he is a perfect fit for the wolves.

Would you guys rather have him than Marvin Williams?
(honest question - not leading)

I was crazy high on the kid pre-draft. I wish this would work.

Considering how crappy this draft is going to be, absolutely. If Randolph goes back to school and has a productive year for trent johnson, he's as good a bet to be the #1 pick as anybody.
Of course, one could say the same thing about players like Donte Greene who barely made the first round...

No interest. We dont need to trade key assets for another unproven wing. We need to save our ammo for when the phones are ringing the most. I think we can do much much better.
But hey, if its Shaddy and a second rounder youve got a deal!!!

If we could get him without taking other salary back and without giving up our best assets then yes, I'd take him over Marvin.
Only because he's on a rookie salary for a long time, has a ton of upside, and it means we could use the capspace to upgrade our roster in other ways.

What key assets are you referring to, and what better deal would you hope for? What players that seem like they could be had would you prefer?

No idea, you never know what kind of stuff comes up between now, the trade deadline, draft day and the rest of the offseason.
I'm just saying getting Randolph for cheap would be more beneficial to the Wolves because they could use the $ (that we hope) they would spend on Marvin in other ways.

Why are they looking to deal him? Is it because of an attitude problem or just because he's in Nellie's doghouse?
I loved the kid pre-draft and then I thought he and Bayless were athletically the two most impressive players in summer league.
If we could get him for the Boston and Utah picks that'd be a great deal, as long as there isn't something we're missing (selfish, etc.)
