MIN inquired about Haslem

FYI, according to the Miami Herald
I can't think of what you'd have to offer us, except our #1 from the Ricky Davis trade, which is lottery protected this year
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/colum ... 47269.html(towards the bottom of the article)
• An NBA executive said several teams have expressed interest in Udonis Haslem -- Atlanta and Minnesota are among his admirers -- but nothing has piqued Miami's interest.
if the Heat trade Haslem (which I can't imagine us doing), we need a legit C or PG help, and nothing that extends into 2010. Riles was into Mike Miller last year, but with Marion, James Jones, and Daequan Cook, he isn't really necessary.

Before you start issueing your demands, did you ever stop to consider just how silly this notion is for MIN?
Right now, the possible players at PF for MIN are Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Ryan Gomes, Craig Smith, and Brian Cardinal and Mark Madsen.
This rumor doesn't make any sense at all for the Wolves.

I didn't "issue demands" just trying to add information from our point of view
no need to be snide, I guess it doesn't make sense for either side

I can't see why we want him considering what we've invested in Love and Jefferson. And I can't see what we would offer to Miami to get him anyways. Thanks for the info though.

I apologize -- it did come off snide. I read it like, "we want this or this, and we won't accept that," but on re-reading, you were just laying out your team needs.
Time to lower the credibility of that writer I think. It seems to me that the Wolves are the last team to be talking about Haslem.

What the hell do we want with yet another undersized PF!? Either that writer is full of it or the people taking over for McHale started taking sme hits off the crack pipe he left behind in his office.

I thought miami's pick was top 10 this year not lotto?
btw thanks for the pick.
this rumor does not make sense without a 3rd team. ironically miami's needs are similar to ours.

makes sense to me, he'd give the frontcourt a player thats athletic and that cares about defense
it'd be an upgrade in the frontcourt and wouldn't damage long term cap space

I'd do it if they took Rashad. If they want a forward in return then add Craig Smith.
C - Jefferson, Love, Madsen, Collins
PF - Love, Jefferson, Haslem
SF - Haslem, Gomes, Miller, Carney, Cardinal
SG - Foye, Miller, Carney
PG - Telfair, Ollie, Foye
Next year you get Brewer back, draft a center and a point guard, Collins and Ollie will be gone. Booth's contract is up too. You could still use one of the draft picks and Cardinal's expiring for other moves including up in the draft etc.

I'm almost positive that you're not allowed to start the same player at two different positions, and I'm definitely positive that Haslem shouldn't play any minutes at SF much less start there.

Hadn't you heard about Big Al's off-season conditioning program?
Muscle toning, coordination, cloning.

Really?
I adjusted it to read easier for you since you couldn't read past the first name on the line and see that maybe I had a typo
j-a. Just to be clear - not all the players listed can play that position at the same time nor can all the players be on the floor during the game at the same time.

I'm going to let you off on this one cause you're new, but next time mister, you take that kind of tone with another Wolves fan and you're gonna spend a night in the box.

Name that movie!
Oh, and I'm pretty positive AQ was just giving you a hard time. We joke, we kid, we can't take things too seriously around here. We're Wolves fans, we have to find humor somewhere. Relax, join in. Smile, laugh, make pie.

The movie doesn't really make me perspire, I mean I like Paul Newman and everything, but not THAT much. It is a pretty SWEET movie, though.
Nevermind, I googled it. Here's me being an **** and ripping on your spelling, when really it was voted the "Sweatiest Movie of All Time".
I really am a d-bag, aren't I?

Haslem is not a SF.

Didn't realize there was an official vote! I just stole a line from an old episode of Cheers.

I did too. What I really liked about it was this sounded exactly like the type of topics of conversation that I hear at bars. Humor from realism.
