MIN/MEM

Smith, Gomes, McCants for Conley, Warrick, Milicic?

Likely a little high of a price, but any thoughts?

Not sure if Memphis would do it, but I would definitely be for that trade.

Conley has been rumored to be involved in trades for Travis Outlaw and Ramon Sessions AND Joe Alexander. I highly doubt this is enough value

To be fair, we are giving up two starters.

Just an FYI .. the pieces in the MEM/MIN draft night trade can be traded back.

Yes, there's a CBA rule that states that a player can't be returned for one year. However, that is an NBA year, and it begins on July 1. Since our trade was done on draft night, any of those players could be used as components for a trade, if it helps. For example, with MEM shooting for 2009 free agency, they might put some value on a Collins/Darko swap.

Role players with little potential yet unrealized. With Smith and Gomes, you know what you are getting, solid role players off the bench. McCants MIGHT, and that is a serious question mark, might still have potential but he isnt going to ever be a cornerstone for a franchise.

Conley, Outlaw, Alexander and Sessions all ooze with potential. Im not saying i dont like our guys, just that i dont think that they have much value to fellow rebuilding teams.

Conley still has value and potential but he has played himself onto the second string on a losing team.

No chance Memphis does that. Yeah Gomes and Smith start for us, but Warrick starts for Memphis, and Conley/Darko are just better prospects.

This trade doesn't do anything for me besides getting rid of McCants. Conley has been a bust IMO.
