I think most people are in agreement that McCants won't be back next year, so what could we possibly get for him this year

A few possibilities IMO
With Houston: McCants for head and 09 Mem 2nd
With Philly: mccants for j. smith, marshall, 10 phi 2nd
with Toronto: mccants for jawai, graham
or maybe something with Boston

When was McCants our leading scorer? Love the Pioneer press.

Maybe we can trade him to 7-11 for a slurpee machine and some nachos. We might have to throw in 1M or so to cover any future tattoos

But Hinrich sucks, and his contract is murderous. Marcus Williams lacks talent as well. Why do we have to trade the best player, and toss in an expiring to get back a crap player with an ugly contract that screws up our beautiful payroll and makes us worse and more injury prone?

We're the Timberwolves, so people look at the Cassel-Jaric deal and think we have to throw in the better value and take bigger crap back.

I thought I was the only one to see cap space as beautiful!

I read a trade proposal somewhere of McCants + Collins for Hinrich, and couldn't decide. Hinrich's healthy now I hear, and his size and game might make him a good counterpart to Foye, if he gets back to where he was a couple years ago (not sure he can). He's an Iowa kid, so he might like being in MIN. However, that contract really makes me second-guess whether he's worth expirings, or we should use our cap space on the guy.

2008-09 10,000,000
2009-10 $9,500,000
2010-11 $9,000,000
2011-12 $8,000,000

 I would serenade our cap space with a lovely song if I had a lovely voice. Unfortunately I can't sing worth a darn. So I write it really creepy love letters and throw pebbles at it's window at night. The underwear incident had NOTHING to do with me, though. I swear. And you can't prove it. :uhoh:

I'd do kirk for expirings, but nothing more. I'd prefer not to do it until the trade deadline.
