If my math is correct and he stays in Europe for the duration of his current contract, he could be in the NBA for the 2011-2012 season. He would be 25 to start the season and would turn 26 on January 3rd 2012.

Thought it was 2 years at the draft, so for the 2010-11 season?

From what I read, he signed a 3 year deal in 2008. If that is true, then I think Frozen is correct.

When they drafted him McHale said he had a three year contract with an opt out after 2 - in talking to him McHale felt he'd be here after two or for the 2010-2011 season
