Twolves more likely to have 2 1st rd pick than 4?

It is looking more and more like we may not get a top 10 pick, the way they are playing, so if it's out of the top 10 it would belong to the Clip joint.
Utah pick probably won't come are way this year either.
Having 4 first round picks would have been too much, and I don't really care if we have to get the Utah pick in another year, however as of now, we may just get like pick 17 and pick 28 or something, which isn't too valuable in a weak draft.
That being said, I'd rather create a winning culture than constantly losing night after night. However it will hurt a bit if we can't score a top 10 pick in this draft. It will be interesting to see what happens that is forsure.

I agree with the last part.
I'd rather start winning games now and evaluating the pieces that are on this roster, than to try to gain a better draft pick this year.
When you start to create a winning culture, you get confidence in your players and that elevates their games. Hopefully we keep this up through the rest of the season and bring it on to next season!

Don't count on it.

I'm a little worried about that first pick. My guess is that the Wolves draft somewhere between 9-11, assuming they don't win the lottery (top 3).
Here's my prognosis:
Right now we are 7. The teams behind us will not pass us.
The Wolves will most likely pass:
Chicago, Indiana -- that puts the Wolves at 9.
The Wolves could pass Toronto:
If Toronto stays put, I think we pass them. If they do the Marion for O'Neal trade, I don't think we do.
The Wolves could pass New York:
If Toronto moves Lee in order to dump salary (curry or Jeffries) I think we pass them.
Toronto + NY would put us at 11 and we'd lose our pick. The worst case scenario seems like a distinct possibility.
I see Charlotte/Miluakee/NJ all improving in the second half-- keeping their rosters around .500 and battling for an eighth seed.
This might be one thing to think about when considering whether to trade Miller. If we keep Miller and continue to play well we could our first. If we trade Miller we could not only get back an asset, but also keep our pick this year.

keep in mind, with monta ellis back and maggette playing well the warriors are a tough beat now. And they only have 1 less win than us and would of beat Lebron and the Cavs if not for a buzzer beater.
They might finish over us

wow..even with 2 first round picks; I think you guys are rebuilding perfectly. I actually like what McHale is doing with this team (other then picking Love over Mayo). Foye and Jefferson are turning into a legit 1-2 punch, and one player I think would fit perfectly on your team is Brandon Jennings.

I have no problem with us taking love over mayo.
and i want no part of brandon jennings, he's a flashy pg, and this and that.
But after watching Eric Mayno today, he's the guy I want, he knows how to run a team, take a big shot, pass the ball, he was unreal and he's nba ready.

a name that has not got much...nice call champ.
I like holiday and I really love rubio. for rubio we need to get a top 3 spot. so lotto luck rather than record matters. with the 2 late rd picks I expect a trade up or combining with an asset to bring in a vet. maybe part of a s/t

maynor after seeing him today...
I've seen a lot of collison, don't get me wrong he's a solid player, but more a spot starter, back up type.
This maynor kid could be a star.

I think Maynor has more upside. I go with him. But, with the Miami pick I really, really want Dajuan Summers. That means no Marvin.
For a point, I hope we make a play for Sessions.

I see summers having a hard time handling and defending the nba sf. I honestly project him similar to ryan gomes and we already have him.
maynor has potential but most likely will be a back up. could be a decent stash/develop pick.

I wouldn't go that far, you must be drinking that nbadraft.net koolaid.
I thought Summers projected as more of a traditional three, no?

that;s funny cause i see collison as quality backup, but Maynor as someone who could surprise. I'm also liking Mills too.

im fine with winning IF we can attract big name free agents
i dontthink theres enough talent on this roster to compete with any top name teams

2 things.
1.)summers could get top 10 only because this is a horrible sf draft. think of where carney would go in this draft.
2.) collison will be a greg anthony career great backup. I would think a good team will enjoy him. mayno supposedly has higher ceiling but if he does not reach that ceiling he will not be the quality role player collison will be.

summers >>>>>> corey brewer who went top 10
also, there are some solid SF's with likes of aminu, summers, earl clark and ganai lawal who is a sf/pf
Potential is there, but these kids are young, and some will be beasts and some will bust out.

Yeah, that's how I see this draft - a lot of young players with unproven potential. It's a beast/bust draft. I think there is a chance of getting a real player at 17 and an equal chance of getting a bust at 7.
