what if?

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Sun Feb 1, 2009 11:36 am

what if the wolves drafted granger instead of mccants then roy over foye. do you think the kg trade would've still happened?

they have 3 all-stars and 2 of them are still young.

a core of kg, granger and roy would be a powerhouse in the west

or even if the trade happened, they will have a starting unit of

al/love/granger/brewer/roy

:pityfool:

I'm sick of talking about what if!

Look at our current roster that is where we are and only thing that counts is to make it better and not think about the decisions of the past.

It'd be nice if we had Granger - but we had KG (and Granger was kind of a similar player), given that we were not throwing in the towel at that point - Mcants made sense... Since Spree walked out - T-Hud sucked as did Hassell... we were in win now mode so plugging a big gap made eminent sense... Granger would not have acheived that...

Well, that is certainly true but not adaptable to nba draft since you can often not predict definitely who is going to be the best player for your team out of the group you choose. So you're doomed to make some right and some wrong picks anyway.

I agree with Foye, just worry about what we HAVE not what we COULD'VE HAD. Sometimes its fun to think about what could've been I know but there is no guarantee that these players would have the same productivity in Minny. We have no control over what has already happened, let's focus on what we can do to make things better.

^Agree with collin and foye. Even if we drafted Granger, there's no guarantee that we would have been in the same draft position the next year anyway.

Just read an article on Minn/Jefferson and McHale claimed the the owner wasn't about to give KG the 3yr,$60mil extension KG was looking for,so a trade had to be made.
The what if? is the Wolves were looking at either Boston and Jefferson,or LA and Bynum.
So what if? you had Roy,Granger and Jefferson(or Bynum). Would you be Portland-where a bunch of young studs are growing up together-or the old Boston w/a ton of young talent going nowhere?

Homer: Marge, name one successful person in life who ever lived without air conditioning.
Marge: Balzac!
Homer: No need for potty mouth just because you can't think of one.
Marge: But Balzac is the name-
Homer: If ifs' and buts were candy and nuts... um, how does the rest of that go?
