Lima, Kardashian, Parker.... we've had some high profile women come through Minnesota.

I like the trade, we were never going to get anything great for McCants or Booth. This way we get rid of our worst player and our cancer and get Brown, who's had experience overseas and has a bit of potential, and Williams who's still young and has another fresh start. It's a hell of a step-down from possibly getting Hinrich, but the sooner we got rid of McCants the better.
Btw why do they call Williams 'The Landlord'?

One thing we're all forgetting with the aqusition of Williams, is the fact that our coach is one of the greatest big men in the history of the game. i dotn expect a miracle here, but if anyone can help him its going to be mchale. Taking a shot at him is a great idea, no risk and decent reward if it works out.

I dont know nuch bout bobby brown, but it sounds as though he will help both bassy and foye defensively.

ridding ourselves of shaddy (who i was always a fan of, but grew tired of hts season) is another positive step in the rebuilding process.
Talentwise, we look like the loser but i think this will work out well with the chemistry on and off the court getting a boost.

I think it is because he owned the paint while at Duke.

Hmm... I could be convinced, I suppose. Telfair is destined to be a backup in this league unless he becomes a better shooter. Before I join the bandwagon, though, I want to see Mr. Brown run an offense. The Kings posters say he should have been starting over Udrih. I say that the Wolves got (marginally) better when they started playing Foye, who is not a real point, off the ball. That's Telfair's contribution - pace, flow, knowing the offense and setting people up. Can Brown do that?

Unfortunately, no. Kings fans who wanted Brown to start must have been on crack. Brown is a turnover-prone gunner with defensive potential.

Sadly he has been renting it out to everybody since he joined the NBA.

If they don't play "cherry pie" at least once when Bobby Brown scores, I'm gonna be ticked.

I like Sene too, but I'm not sure who we cut? All of our contracts are guaranteed now.

Kevin Ollie was cleared by doctors yesterday, but I suppose he'd be the least expensive, and it would give him a chance to sign on with a contender. Its a shame though that we didn't toss him in a trade.

I suppose we could try to buy out Madsen (2 yrs), Collins (1 yr), or one of the new guys.

look at it this way, most guys available now are going to be available in the offseason too; in fact, probably more guys will be available once teams get a better idea of where they're going to be at financially and get in a "must-trade" with guys before next season to keep their team in the financial range they're aiming for, plus there will be less negative PR w/ their fanbase to trade a big piece when they're not in the heat of a playoff race. Plus our own draft status will take a definitive formation in addition to Mike Miller/Cardinal becoming expirings.

So we'll have a Mike Miller expiring (much easier to sell the addition of a Mike Miller expiring contract to your fans in a salary dump than a Jason Collins or McCants expiring), we'll have definitive draft picks so teams will know exactly what they're getting if we include a pick in a trade, and most likely there will be a better variety of players to choose from as it's always cleaner to make a trade in the offseason.

And most importantly, the best way for the Wolves to improve is through the draft, I wouldn't want to bring in a guy now that could bump us 5 or 7 draft spots for no particular reason since we're not in the playoff race and that player would probably be available this summer anyways.

It gets frustrating waiting, but it'll be good for the long term to go with the flow for now. And for what we gave up, it's a pretty good trade. Potentially gives us defense at PG and C, Shelden gives us another tough bruiser with some basketball skill too. He's too short and that's probably what irritates some people, yet another short guy, but I think he can give a NET positive result on the court, I'm excited to see him and Love out there.

80s songs are the worst, they remind me of when people keep repeating that you'll never fall in love. When everybody keeps retreating, but you can't seem to get enough. Let my love open the door. Let my love open the door. Let my love open the door...to your heart.

Oh now that's wrong. Pete Townshend has been dead since Who are you, I think.

I think Ollie is pretty obviously the guy to cut, since we have Brown now.

It's gonna be annoying when some other team signs Sene and never plays him, when this team is actually one of the few in the league where he would both help and get real playing time.

Broad back, low shoulders.

Did you really just describe Shelden Williams as Brokeback Mountain???
