When I look at it as a trade for next year, all i see is the addition of a contract in Browns, and a guy we're going to let expire in Shelden. It may not seem like much, but Brown's is still a contract we dont need to have. Having him isnt going to stop us from drafting a PG anyways. This trade was pointless.

It's minor, but not pointless. Williams helps fill the big man need for the rest of the season until we let him walk. Brown gives us another prospect at PG that plays good D. I think he could easily end up over Bassy on the depth charts.

Well if we didnt make that trade Collins/Madsen/Booth would have been racking up minutes and Love would have been overworked. Now that wont happen. And this puts Foye even more away from the ball and lets him just concentrate and being a playmaker.

Do you really think adding to our frontcourt is a good thing DD?

We are obviously going for a high lotto pick now that AJ is out for the season, and what we should be doing is playing the guys we know will be here next year as much as possible. Shelden wont be here. From what eze has told me he is pretty much only good for 10 minutes a night on an average team. Meaning hes pretty much worthless for what we are trying to achieve.

Well, I'm more interested in Brown than Williams, but it doesn't hurt to audition him with low expectations. Love, Smith and probably Cardinal would be the only bigs that would be on the roster next year. Really he'll probably be mostly making sure Jason Collins remains firmly on the bench.

This is Matt, right? just making sure

Two thumbs way, way up from me. This small trade helps us now with a tiny, tiny downside.
I can't believe the whining over a 736,000 player option, which if he plays decent at all the rest of the year he will be declining anyway. If we need the roster spot we just cut him.

McCants and Booth were not going to play. We had no healthy backup PG. Williams immediately becomes our 2nd best C behind Love. The only downside I see is if we win a couple extra games and it hurts our draft position. Now Foye can exclusively play SG the rest of the year.

AHAHAHAHA

Kings and Timberwolves agree to four-player deal. Bobby Brown goes to the T-Wolves who are now expected to beat the crap out of Houston

OKC apparently waived Mohamed Sene as part of the thabo sefolosha deal. Why not take a shot and see if he can block some shots for us?

Does this trade vastly improving our chances of obtaining a good FA this offseason (Marvin Williams). I would be all for that.

^No it slightly lowers the chance of that if Bobby Brown decides to stay for another year.

Sene is always a good idea.

Yes! It's frustrating that we don't have one that can play. I'd probably be happy if we signed Olowokandi again.....

...Maybe ive gone too far

You'll like Brown. He is a pretty good defender, if your coach pushes him hell be up in his man's face every minute.

I has pretty good range especially if he gets hot. He reminds me a lot of Eddie House but with a higher ceiling.
