Is our deal final with the Kings or can O'bryant be added? It would be nice to have him also.

Sorry, here is the link to the wiretap on Patrick O'Bryant to the Kings:

According to the Boston Globe, Boston wants Calvin Booth. Maybe there is more to this than what we know. Maybe the McCants deal is a three team deal?

On the wiretap it says they also want Nocinoi.

I would prefer POB over Williams. The guy has averaged 4.9 minutes in his career. Give POB some minutes and see what he can do!

Well it appears that we could have done this:

Wolves get
POB
Williams
Brown

Celtics get
Booth

Kings get
McCants
Glen Davis, Giddens, Powe, Bill Walker, or Pruitt from Celtics

I don't see why it couldn't have happened.

I dont see the Celtics trading Powe/Davis or Walker or Pruitt for that matter for Calvin Booth. Too little too late anyway no?

Now wireptap says he is going to the Raptors for Will Solomon.

That would leave Giddens. I think it is too late unless something is pending. It's disappointing knowing that it could have been a possibility though.

Why do we have a thread about Patrick O'bryant?

I think you might need to read it in order to know.

We can beat that offer. Our Gerald Green TPE doesn't expire until Sunday (or was that 30 minutes ago?). BOS is paying double on POB since they are over the lux.

The better question is why did it take this long?

I read the thread, and I'll ask the same question. Look, I know O'Bryant is from Minneapolis so there's a little homerism there, but c'mon guys... as a pro talking about him is about as embarrassing as discussing Rick Rickert.

Well the Bulls-Sacto deal had Ruffin and Diagu with Portland added when it was final so it possibly could happen.

Bottom line is that we need a center. We didn't make any other moves so this would make more sense than just the 4 player trade that was leaked. I don't really care if he is from Minneapolis, he has potential.

It wouldn't be like we are really giving anything up. And we are not praising him as the answer to our problems. Someone's gotta give this guy a break.

We wouldn't be giving anything up but additional salary to the trade that was already announced.

You know, Rickert could really shoot the ball. Do you think we could make him into a 3 man, kind of like Tayshaun Prince type?

Me thinks there's a reason POB can't get burn anywhere he goes.
